An electrical connection testing system for testing existence of an electrical connection between a first electronic device and a second electronic device. An electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuit is provided between the first and second electronic devices. The testing system includes a comparator having a first input connected to a power for output of the first electronic device and a second input connected to an output signal from the first electronic device. The output signal is adapted to be sent to the second electronic device through the ESD protection circuit. The testing system also includes a system for determining if a comparator output from the comparator is indicative of the first and second inputs being different or if the comparator output is indicative of the first and second inputs being substantially the same.

System and method for testing electrical connection

An apparatus comprises at least one component arranged to be supplied with at least one analog value. In order to enable a testing of the at least one component, the apparatus further comprises at least one comparator configured to compare at least one analog value, which corresponds to at least one analog value supplied to the at least one component, with at least one analog value read from the at least one component. The comparator is moreover configured to provide a result of the comparison.

The present invention provides methods and modules allowing for mapping of interface signals at for instance multi-line buses. A mapping of internal signal order schemes to external signal order schemes is enabled such that upon configuration any interface signals may carried on any lines of a multi-line bus. The configurability may obtained by the implementation of mapping logics and mapping algorithms, which associates external interface terminal to signal association to internal interface terminal to signal association in a configurable manner.

Method and device for mapping signal order at multi-line bus interfaces

In a method for adjusting a refresh rate of a display, a current status of at least one lighting criterion is determined. The refresh rate is then adjusted depending on this determined status. A display module and an electronic device, respectively, comprise a display and a processing component adapted to perform such an adjustment. In a software program product, a software code is stored in a readable medium, the software code performing such an adjustment of the refresh rate of a display when being executed by a processor.

Adjusting the refresh rate of a display

A hinge has two hinge parts for connecting two device parts of a portable device. The hinge parts can be moved relative to each other so as to allow the portable device to operate in a number of positions. For example, in a mobile phone with a sliding cover to expose the phone keyboard when the mobile phone is operated in an open position, the hinge parts are also configured to allow the sliding motion of the sliding cover. Furthermore, electrically conductive segments are provided on the hinge parts so that electrical contacts between the device parts can be achieved when the portable device is operated in different positions. Additionally, an optical conduit is provided through the hinge so that optical signals can be conveyed between the device parts when the portable device is operated in different positions.
