A method for regulating a pressure setting in a braking system includes receiving a pressure demand and determining a pressure demand gradient from the pressure demand, determining a volume flow requirement from the pressure demand gradient, generating a hydraulic pressure by utilizing a pressure application device, determining an actual volume flow of the pressure application device, regulating an overflow valve on the basis of the pressure demand and the difference between the actual volume flow and the volume flow requirement. A special mode is activated when the pressure demand gradient exceeds a gradient limit value, a minimum value for the volume flow requirement being set in the special mode on the basis of a last maximum of the volume flow requirement. The special mode is deactivated when a difference between the pressure demand and a system pressure falls below a first limit value.

Method for regulating the pressure position in a braking system

A method for determining a switching state of a valve that is actuated by a coil, wherein the method includes: respectively ascertaining a current flowing through the coil and a voltage applied to the coil at several times which follow one another with a prespecified time interval, calculating an inductance variable of the coil based on the currents, the voltage and the time interval, and determining the switching state based on the inductance variable. A brake system, including four hydraulically actuatable wheel brakes. Each wheel brake is assigned in each case one outlet valve which is closed when electrically deenergized. Each wheel brake is assigned in each case one inlet valve which is open when electrically deenergized. The brake system furthermore includes a simulator which is actuatable by a brake pedal, wherein two pressure provision devices are provided for actively building up pressure in the wheel brakes, two brake circuits are hydraulically formed, wherein, in each brake circuit, in each case one pressure provision device is hydraulically connected to two wheel brakes, and wherein two separate on-board electrical systems are provided, and wherein each pressure provision device is fed in each case by one of the two on-board electrical systems.
