Provided is a low odor hair conditioning composition which is free of oily and greasy feel upon finish, and can impart good manageability and moisturized feel. Specifically provided is a hair conditioning composition including a component (A): a compound represented by a general formula (1) RO&#x2014;(PO)/(EO)&#x2014;R(1), where Rrepresents a straight or branched, alkyl or alkenyl group having 8 to 12 carbon atoms, PO represents a propyleneoxy group, EO represents an ethyleneoxy group, an average addition mole number 'n' represents a number of 1.5 to 3.0, an average addition mole number 'm' represents a number of 0 to 1.0, and Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and a component (B): a surfactant other than the component (A), wherein a content of ROH, where Rrepresents a straight or branched, alkyl or alkenyl group having 8 to 12 carbon atoms, is 80 ppm or less.

Hair conditioning composition

Provided is a hair treatment composition capable of imparting good manageability and excellent hair feel to the hair upon finishing permanent wave or hair dye treatment. The hair treatment composition has the following components (A) and (B): (A) a compound represented by the following formula (1): RO&#x2014;(PO)(EO)&#x2014;R(1) wherein Rrepresents a linear or branched Calkyl or alkenyl group, PO represents a propyleneoxy group, EO represents an ethyleneoxy group, n represents an average addition mole number and is from 1.5 to 5.0, m represents an average addition mole number and is from 0 to 1.0, and Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and (B) at least one selected from keratin reducing agents, oxidizing agents, alkaline agents, and dyes for hair dye, wherein a content of an ROH wherein Rrepresents a linear or branched Calkyl or alkenyl group is 300 ppm or less.

Hair treatment composition

Described in the present invention are a dispersion which comprises, as a dispersoid, (a) 5 to 40 wt. % of an amphipatic lipid containing, in the molecule thereof, at least one hydroxy and amide group, and (b) 2 to 55 wt. % of a surfactant in an aqueous medium; a washing-away type cosmetic composition comprising the dispersion; and a washing-away type cosmetic composition comprising (A) 0.01 to 10 wt. % of an amphipatic lipid which contains, in the molecule thereof, at least one hydroxy and amide group and having a melting point not less than 30&deg; C. and (B) 5 to 95 wt. % of a surfactant. The dispersion according to the present invention is useful as a component of a washing-away type cosmetic composition having both an emulsion-like or pearl-lustrous appearance and low skin irritation. The washing-away type cosmetic composition according to the present invention has an emulsion-like or pearl-lustrous appearance and is mild to the skin owing to reduced adsorption, to the skin, of the surfactant contained in the composition.

Amphipatic lipid dispersion

A germicidal-disinfectant detergent composition comprising (a) a cationic germicide, (b) a metal chelating agent and (c) at least one surfactant selected from anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants and amphoteric surfactants is described. Excellent detergency and germicidal action are provided.
