The present invention relates to a system and a method for generating a plurality of control signals for multi-die applications. In particular, the invention relates to the generation of synchronized control signals generated by independent dies having an own local clock and provided with a common clock. In a first step, in each die, the period of the common clock signal is measured using a TDC. In further steps, in each die, a respective phase shift is evaluated and applied between the rising edge of the common clock signal and each of the rising edges of the output control signals, using delay unit.

System and method for generating a plurality of control signals in multi-die systems

A control circuit and a method for delaying an electronic signal are provided, along with a time-to-digital converter including the control circuit. The example control circuit includes a first delay circuit having a first plurality of delay elements electrically connected in series and configured to generate a first control voltage associated with a first delay time. The control circuit further includes a second delay circuit having a second plurality of delay elements electrically connected at least in part in series. The second delay circuit is configured to generate a second control voltage associated with a second delay time. A first group of delay elements within the second plurality of delay elements exhibits the first delay time based on the first control voltage, and a second group of the second plurality of delay elements exhibits a second delay time based at least in part on the second control voltage.

Process, voltage, and temperature invariant time-to-digital converter with sub-gate delay resolution

A direct current (DC) to DC (DC-DC) converter includes a comparator configured to set a pulse width of a signal pulse, the pulse width corresponding to a voltage level of an output voltage of the DC-DC converter; a digital delay line (DDL) operatively coupled to the comparator, the DDL configured increase the pulse width of the signal pulse by linearly introducing delays to the signal pulse; a multiplexer operatively coupled to the DDL, the multiplexer configured to selectively output a delayed version of the signal pulse; and a logic control circuit operatively coupled to the multiplexer and the DDL, the logic control circuit configured to adaptively adjust a precision of the DC-DC converter in accordance with a duty cycle of the DC-DC converter and a setpoint of the DC-DC converter.

Methods and apparatus for adaptively controlling direct current-direct current converter precision

A direct current (DC) to DC (DC-DC) converter includes a comparator setting a pulse width of a signal pulse, the pulse width corresponding to a voltage level of an output voltage of the DC-DC converter; a digital delay line (DDL) operatively coupled to the comparator, the DDL adjusting the pulse width of the signal pulse by linearly introducing delays to the signal pulse; a multiplexer operatively coupled to the DDL, the multiplexer selectively outputting a delayed version of the signal pulse; a phase detector operatively coupled to a system clock and the multiplexer, the phase detector generating a phase error between an output of the multiplexer and the system clock; and a logic control circuit operatively coupled to the multiplexer and the DDL, the logic control circuit adjusting the delay introduced to the signal pulse in accordance with the phase error.

Methods and apparatus for a direct current-direct current converter compatible with wide range system clock frequency

The current technique provides an unmanned vehicle that is capable of travelling in the air, on the ground and/or in the water. The driving force of the unmanned vehicle is provided by at least one propelling module that includes a motor, a shaft and a propeller. The propelling module is coupled to a chassis. The chassis includes one or more support elements that each couples to one or more aileron member. An aileron member is configured to tilt with or about the support element to change fluid flux about the aileron member and thus change a position of the propelling force.

The operation of a circuit exhibiting a delay that is subject to a time spread as a function of process, voltage, and temperature variations is synchronized with a synchronization signal. A digital delay corresponding to the time spread is applied to the synchronization signal. A control system for a phase generator including a delay block including delay units, and first and second multiplexers configured to receive output signals of each of the delay units and to respectively supply first and second output signals. The control system may include a controller configured to drive the first multiplexer and the second multiplexer respectively with a first select signal and a second select signal, a detection module configured to detect a phase difference between the first output signal and the second output signal and to generate a corresponding digital phase shift signal, the detection module including a phase comparator, and a Time-Digital converter circuit coupled thereto and having logic elements configured to generate the digital phase shift signal, and a logic circuit connected to the detection module and configured to process the digital phase shift signal and to generate a signal indicative of a control executed.
