A method for producing a multilayer body, as well as a multilayer body produced thereby. A single- or multi-layered first decorative ply is applied to a carrier ply with a first and a second side. A metal layer is applied to the side of the first decorative ply facing away from the carrier ply and structured such that the metal layer is provided with a first layer thickness in one or more first zones and is provided with a second layer thickness different from the first layer thickness in one or more second zones, wherein in particular the second layer thickness is equal to zero. A single- or multi-layered second decorative ply is applied to the side of the metal layer facing away from the first decorative ply and structured using the metal layer as mask such that the first or second decorative ply is at least partially removed in the first or second zones.

Method for producing a multilayer element, and multilayer element

The invention relates to a multilayer body () for producing a decorated plastic article () having a surface relief (). The multilayer body () comprises a relief film () with a first carrier film () and a structural layer (), arranged on one side of the first carrier film (). The multilayer body () also comprises a multilayer film () with a second carrier film () and at least one decorative layer (). The structural layer () is arranged here between the first carrier film () and the second carrier film (). Furthermore, the multilayer body () has a film body () which comprises the relief film () and can be released from the at least one decorative layer (), and the at least one decorative layer () is formed such that it can be deformed by the structural layer () formed as a stamped structure. The invention also relates to a process for producing such a multilayer body (), and to two processes for producing a decorated plastic article () having a surface relief () by using such a multilayer body ().

The invention concerns a security element for a security document comprising a structure layer and diffractive first and second relief structures, wherein the relief structures viewed parallel to the plane of the structure layer are arranged in different planes of the security element, wherein the first relief structure adjoins a partial first reflection layer and the second relief structure adjoins a partial second reflection layer, and wherein&#x2014;if the first reflection layer is towards a viewer&#x2014;a second item of information generated by the second relief structure is at least partially concealed and&#x2014;if the second reflection layer is towards the viewer&#x2014;a first item of information generated by the first relief structure is at least partially concealed, and processes for the production of such security elements and security documents formed therewith.

Security element for a security document and process for the production thereof

The invention relates to a method for producing a multilayer body (), as well as a multilayer body () produced thereby. A single- or multi-layered first decorative ply () is applied to a carrier ply with a first () and a second () side. A metal layer () is applied to the side of the first decorative ply () facing away from the carrier ply and structured such that the metal layer () is provided with a first layer thickness in one or more first zones () and is provided with a second layer thickness different from the first layer thickness in one or more second zones (), wherein in particular the second layer thickness is equal to zero. A single- or multi-layered second decorative ply () is applied to the side of the metal layer () facing away from the first decorative ply () and structured using the metal layer () as mask such that the first () or second () decorative ply is at least partially removed in the first () or second () zones.

In a process for producing a multilayer body, an HRI layer made of a material having a high refractive index is applied to at least part of the surface area of a substrate. At least one partial region of the HRI layer is then physically removed from the substrate again by treatment with an alkaline solution. Additionally specified is a multilayer body that can be obtained by such a process.

Described is a transfer film, in particular a hot embossing film, which includes a carrier film and a transfer layer portion having a structure layer, the transfer layer portion being arranged on the carrier film and being detachable from the carrier film, wherein it is provided that the carrier film has a master relief structure on its side towards the structure layer and the structure layer on its side towards the carrier film has a relief structure complementary to the master relief structure of the carrier film. There is further provided a process for the production of the transfer film and a multi-layer body formed with the structure layer.

Transfer film

Described is a transfer film, in particular a hot embossing film, which includes a carrier film () and a transfer layer portion having a structure layer (), the transfer layer portion being arranged on the carrier film () and being detachable from the carrier film (). It is provided that the carrier film () has a master relief structure () on its side towards the structure layer (), the structure layer () on its side towards the carrier film () has a first relief structure () complementary to the master relief structure () of the carrier film (), the structure layer () on its side remote from the carrier film () has a second relief structure () which differs from the first relief structure (), and the second relief structure () is covered at least region-wise with a reflection layer (). There are further provided a process for the production of the transfer film, a multi-layer body formed with the structure layer and a security document having the multi-layer body.
