A hand-held, hand operated hair twining apparatus having a pivotal trigger member actuable to pivot a shaft member through a ratchet mechanism, the shaft member supporting a disc housing, configured for retaining a gear mechanism therein, the housing supporting first and second hair clamp members rotatable relative to the housing by means of the gear mechanism. Actuation of the trigger member with the housing restrained rotates both clamp members and the filaments of hair therein to twist the filaments into strands. Actuation of the trigger member with the housing released interchanges the positions of the clamp members in a direction opposite to the twist to produce a twine.

A winking apparatus (10 ) includes a doll head (20) having an eye (38) provided on an outer surface thereof beneath an arcuate slot (40) in which an eyelid (42) is movably mounted by an eye-lid-mounting mechanism (52) pivotally mounted in head (20) and actuatable by an actuating mechanism (60) to impart winking motions to eyelid (42).

A hand held, hand operated hair braiding apparatus having a plurality of aligned gear members, each having an aperture therethrough for passage therethrough of a strand of hair, with a first pair of adjacent gear members having the positions interchanged in response to actuation of a lever member in a first direction with the remaining gear member then being interchanged with the adjacent one in response to pivoting of the lever member in the reverse direction. There is also disclosed an accessory device for facilitating the use of the hair braiding apparatus.

Hair braiding apparatus

A roller skating doll is disclosed. The doll has a roller skate attached to each foot, and the skates are in turn driven by motors positioned in the adjoining legs. The legs and one foot of the doll are articulated and may be secured in various positions so that the doll may skate on both legs or skate balanced on one leg. A skate may be fixed in different steering positions so that the doll may progress forward or in a circle. The skate drive motors are remotely controlled and are energized alternately in a fashion that emulates the movements of a human roller skater. An alternate embodiment is also disclosed which permits the skates to be removed from the doll.

A doll having an air-contained compressible body portion the interior thereof communicating with an aperture in the palm of the hand of the doll. An accessory article such as a hat has a tubular portion insertable within the aperture with a valve selector manually operable to one of three positions for pneumatically actuating one of three conduits within the hat for elevating a movable object above the rim of the hat in response to compression of the body portion.

Combination doll and accessory articles

A toy for supporting and conveying a doll or the like utilizing a doll carrier member rotatably coupled to a link of a continuous endless belt disposed within a channel beneath a platform having a continuous slot for passage therethrough of a portion of the doll carrier. The doll carrier includes a geared disc member with an integral triangular cam member, the disc member engaging a rack member within the channel to cause the doll to pirouette or turn with the cam member alternately engaging oppositely disposed spaced fixed cams to cause the doll to walk. The belt is motor driven and reversible and upon reversing, the cam structure causes the doll carrier to reverse directions.

Toy with endless belt for conveying a doll or the like

A doll construction having upper and lower generally hollow torso members adapted to be supported in an upright position along the longitudinal center line of the doll and to be pivoted with respect to each other about an axis disposed angularly at approximately 30.degree. from the longitudinal center line. Mating coacting ball and socket means are provided at the connecting midriff portions of the torsos and a flexible connector extends through a bushing aperture formed integrally with the ball to define the axis of pivoting, the connector being fixedly secured within one torso member and rotatably secured within the other, the connector maintaining the portions together under tension with the pivotal connection providing a large range of compound positions and relationships between the upper and lower torsos of the doll.

Doll construction with pivotable torso members

A doll stand for supporting a doll by one leg, the stand including a base member, a clip member for gripping the lower leg in proximity to the ankle with interconnecting means between the clip member and the base. The interconnecting means include a rod member insertible within an aperture in the base and affixed to the clip member, the rod member being offset in a forward direction to provide clearance for the foot of the doll. The free end of the rod member is secured to the clip member with the rod member and clip member being angularly disposed in a direction generally perpendicular to the offset direction to provide an angle between the supporting direction of the clip and a line generally perpendicular to the base to support the doll with the center of gravity generally perpendicular to the base.

Doll stand

A toy escalator for use with a doll, the escalator having an inclined base with side rails along opposite edges thereof and a stair member slidable the length of the base between the rails, the stair member being provided with a doll leg engaging fixture to retain the doll in a substantially upright position during operation of the escalator. Manual means are provided by having a string connected to the stair member, the string being operable through an aperture in the upper end of the base for moving the stair member.

Pressurizing a bellows moves doll's head to a rear position, whereupon bellows is relieved so that the doll's head will move forwardly under the influence of a spring while air from bellows is simultaneously directed to a reservoir forcing water out through the doll's nose.

Driving gear on one limb has at least twice as many teeth as driven gear on other limb which is connected to driving gear by idler gears for negatively increasing gear ratio between limbs so that driven limb will swing through a substantially larger arc than, and in a direction opposite to, the driving limb.

Lower torso member includes a waist member having a lower portion of a first girth and an upper portion of a second, lesser girth so that pliable, rubber-like upper torso waist member may be slid from lower portion of lower torso waist member where it simulates waist of pudgy pre-teenager to upper portion of lower torso waist member where it simulates trim waist of a teenager while simulated breasts are simultaneously pressed outwardly against upper torso member causing bulging of the rubber-like material to form a simulated bustline.
