A charging assembly is provided for introducing a product into a mixing vessel of the type comprising a stirring mechanism having a drive shaft ( ) into the vessel through a top port ( ). An agitator ( ) is connected to the lower end of the drive shaft ( ) and driving means ( ) are provided on the upper end of the drive shaft ( ). An adapter element (10) is disposed between the driving means ( ) and top port ( ) so as to surround an upper portion ( ) of the drive shaft ( ). The adapter element ( ) includes at least one inlet port ( ) for introducing said product into an annular space ( ) defined between the adapter element ( ) and the drive shaft ( ).

Charging assembly for mixing vessel

A baffle assembly for flow disruption comprising a glass coated baffle. A hollow end of the baffle engages with a connector. An interior tubular portion of the connector is glass coated and forms an interference fit with the glass coated hollow end of the baffle.
