A system for use in image reproduction, the system includes at least a first light emitting unit and a second light emitting unit. The first light emitting unit includes a first cooling means arranged for cooling the first light emitting unit. The second light emitting unit includes a second cooling means arranged for cooling the second light emitting unit independently of the first light emitting unit. The first light emitting unit has a first elongate emitting area. The second light emitting unit has a second elongate emitting area. A control unit controls the cooling of at least one of the first cooling means and the second cooling means such that at least one of the first elongate emitting area and the second elongate emitting area, respectively, has a desired length.

Digital printing method for printing an image, using a printing system capable of printing a plurality of density levels, including: printing at least one left control strip in a left zone of a print medium and at least one right control strip in a right zone of said print medium, said left control strip including at least one left patch and said right control strip including at least one right patch, wherein settings are used which are intended for printing the same color and/or density level for a left patch of said at least one left patch and for a corresponding right patch of said at least one right patch; measuring a density level and/or color of at least said printed left patch and right patch; adjusting said printing system based on a difference between the measured density levels and/or colors of said left patch and said right patch in order to perform a left-right correction in said image to be printed; and printing the image using said adjusted printing system.

Digital printing method and system with left/right correction

A system for applying liquid toner to a developing member in a digital printer. The system includes a reservoir for storing liquid toner, a feed member and a developing member. The feed member is arranged to rotate to transfer liquid toner from the reservoir to the developing member. The system includes a feed assist member. The feed member is arranged for rotating in contact with the feed assist member and making contact with the feed assist member along a contact area which is located, when the system is operational, in the liquid toner in the reservoir. The feed assist member is provided with a compressible contact portion arranged for being compressed in the contact area between the feed member and the feed assist member.
