A syringe for dental material has a cylinder with a dispensing socket and an open end opposite the dispensing socket. A plunger is inserted through the open end into the cylinder and is guided in the cylinder. The plunger is made of a porous, sintered material.

Syringe for dental material

A hand-held light curing device has a light source and a light guiding device having a light receiving opening. A lens arrangement with a focusing lens is positioned between the light source and the light guiding device. The focusing lens has first and second cut-off filters on proximal and distal surfaces thereof, respectively. The cut-off filters are preferably vapor-deposited on the surfaces. Preferably, the focusing lens has a convex surface facing the light source, and the first filter has reflective properties with respect to infrared light.

Light curing device

A mixing device has a swing arm and securing arms, for receiving and securing a mixing capsule within the mixing device, connected to the swing arm. The securing arms include at least one moveable securing arm that is movably connected to the swing arm and at least one stationary securing arm that is fixedly connected to the swing arm such that the moveable securing arm is moveable relative to the stationary securing arm. An inertia mass acts via at least one of the securing arms onto a mixing capsule received in the securing arms.

Mixing device

A polymerization apparatus includes a first chamber and a second chamber and a flexible, radioparent diaphragm separating the first chamber from the second chamber. A radiation source emitting polymerization-inducing radiation into the first chamber is provided. The second chamber is adapted for receiving a model and a foil, positioned between the diaphragm and the model, to be subjected to the radiation of the radiation source. A device for generating a pressure differential between the first and the second chamber for deflecting the diaphragm toward the model to thereby deform the foil at the model is provided. An adjusting device for adjusting the distance between the model and the diaphragm is provided.

Polymerization apparatus

A syringe for dispensing a viscous material has a cylindrical housing with a first and a second end. An outlet member is connected to the first end of the cylindrical housing. A deformable dispensing body is slidable in the cylindrical housing from the second end to the first end for dispensing the viscous material in a dispensing direction of the syringe. The deformable dispensing body is insertable into the outlet member and deformable to the shape of the outlet member, but has a dimensionally stable trailing end.

Syringe for dispensing viscous material and method

A polymerization apparatus includes a support plate for supporting a workpiece to be polymerized and a hood comprising a light source for guiding light to the workpiece such that the light impinges on at least two sides of the workpiece. The hood is liftable relative to the support plate so as to allow access to the workpiece when in a lifted position. A heat source for heating the workpiece is provided. A control device controls the function of the polymerization apparatus. A method for operating the polymerization apparatus includes the steps of heating the workpiece to a desired temperature after switching on the light source, maintaining the desired temperature for a desired polymerization cycle time period, and subsequently shutting down the light source and the heat source for a final polymerization cycle time period.

Polymerization apparatus and method for controlling polymerization

A kiln has a bottom part with a support for goods to be fired and a top part with a firing chamber. A bearing arrangement including at least one pivot joint pivotably connects the bottom part and the top part. The bearing arrangement includes a lift bearing cooperating with the at least one pivot joint.
