A sealing element for sealing a shaft comprises a stiffening part, a first elastomer part connected to the stiffening part and adapted to adjoin the housing part and provide a static seal relative, and a second elastomer part of an elastomer material different from the elastomer material forming the first elastomer part. The second elastomer part is connected to the stiffening part and comprises a sealing section adapted to adjoin the shaft to seal a space. The sealing section comprises a return structure for returning a leaking fluid to a space to be sealed. The sealing section also comprises a region at one axial end portion of the sealing section which is peripherally closed in itself and extends along an inner surface of a circular cylinder portion of the sealing section that is adapted to adjoin and seal the shaft as the shaft is not turning.

Frictionless shaft seal

A seal assembly seals a first portion of a machine part relative to a second portion of the machine part. The seal assembly includes at least one seal element that contacts the machine part or contacts a component connected with the machine part or that extends with a gap relative to the machine part or to the component connected with the machine part. At least one of the seal element, the machine part and the component connected with the machine part is provided or coated with a material, which has super hydrophobic properties, in the area of the seal element.

Seal assembly

A method and device are provided for sealing a first oil environment, which is located on a first side of a movable piston guided in a hollow chamber, from a second oil environment, which is located on a second side of the piston. The piston can move back and forth in the hollow chamber between the two oil environments in the axial direction by a piston stroke length (d). Two annular seal elements are disposed around the movable piston so as to sealingly contact the inner circumferential wall of the hollow chamber. The annular seal elements are spaced from each other by at least a distance (D) in the axial direction that is greater than or equal to the piston stroke length (d).

Method and device for sealing different oil environments

A seal to seal a gap between a rotatable component () and a non-rotatable component comprises: A fastening section adapted to be fixedly mounted in relation to the non-rotatable component, a sleeve-like section () adapted to be mounted around the rotatable component (), a resilient section () between the sleeve-like and fastening section comprising an arcuate portion (), and in an unmounted condition, the sleeve-like section () has an inner diameter, D, with a predefined magnitude relative to an outer diameter of the rotating component, D, such that 0.9&#x2266;D/D&#x2266;1.1.

Seal

A seal for a compressor for sealing a shaft comprises a first seal part with a sealing edge which is provided on a circular cylindrical surface along a line which deviates from a circular shape and which is closed in itself in the peripheral direction for adjoining and sealing the shaft, and a second seal part with a sealing section which is intended to adjoin the shaft and which is hollowly cylindrical when it adjoins properly with the inside surface which comprises a return structure for a fluid.

Compressor shaft seal

A steering knuckle pin bearing assembly includes a bearing and a steering knuckle pin pivotably supporting a steering knuckle relative to an axle beam. A sealing collar seals a space between the bearing and the steering knuckle pin, which space may include a spacer washer. The sealing collar is slidably borne on a radial outer surface of the bearing. In addition, the sealing collar has at least one sealing region that is in slidable contact with an at least substantially cylindrical sealing surface of the axle beam.

Seal for steering knuckle pin bearing

A sealing element is provided for placement between first and second components, wherein the first component includes a cylindrical cavity with a step-shaped shoulder which narrows the cavity, and the second component is a cylindrical component for placement in the cavity. The sealing element comprises a stiffening body with a L-shaped longitudinal cut surface, with the first leg of the L shape being provided extending between the jackets of the cavity and of the second component, and the second leg being provided essentially in the region of the shoulder extending between the two components and at least in partial regions for touching the shoulder and the end side of the second component. The sealing element also comprises a sealing body which is made integrally continuous with a first sealing region for contact with the peripheral surface of the outside jacket of the second component and with a second sealing region for contact with an annularly peripheral region on the end surface of the shoulder of the first component.

Sealing element

In a sealing arrangement sealing at least one axial end section of a hollow shaft that is arranged in a cavity of a component, with the hollow shaft being adapted to route a fluid, a gasket is adapted to be located between the component and the shaft. The gasket is made with a sealing lip to adjoin the outer peripheral surface of the end section. The gasket also includes an axially projecting portion that projects axially beyond the end of the shaft. The axially projecting portion of the gasket surrounds a device for filtering the fluid and/or a device for determining the flow cross-section of the fluid.

Sealing arrangement

An arrangement for sealing a housing with a cover that includes a central hole for holding a gasket for a shaft extending through the gasket in the installed state, and at least first and second hollow-cylindrical protuberances which project roughly in the direction of the shaft relative to the areas of the cover which directly surrounds them. The protuberances are inserted into the corresponding cavities of the housing. The peripheral surfaces of the first protuberance and its respective cavity adjoin one another essentially without play, and the second protuberance can be essentially freely positioned within its cavity in the direction of a line which connects the two center points of the two protuberances, with the second protuberance adjoining at least one point of the peripheral surface of the cavity in the direction of the cavity diameter which is perpendicular to the line.

Arrangement for sealing a housing

A sealing arrangement for sealing a housing with respect to a shaft includes a first annular supporting element connected to the housing, a second annular supporting element connected to the shaft, and a first seal connected to one of the two supporting elements and in abradant contact with the other supporting element. To improve the sealing function of the sealing arrangement, the supporting element to which the first seal is not connected is provided with a second seal which runs frictionally on the machine part to which the first supporting element is connected.
