An automobile center console has an associated armrest with a lifting and transverse shifting mechanism that exerts on the armrest a combination of a lifting movement and a transverse displacement toward one of the two front seats. The lifting and transverse shifting mechanism is located on a guide carriage that is linearly movable by a linear guide device along the center console in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle.

A container for an installation into the interior of a vehicle, having a box with a box opening situated on top and a closing part covering it. For a compact construction of the container and a simplified installation mounting, the closing part comprises a guide plate, which rests inside the box opening and covers it partially, and a sliding lid which can be displaced in parallel thereto. On its transverse edge, which extends transversely to the sliding direction of the sliding lid, the guide plate is swivellably held on the upper edge of the box and is prestressed by a spring in a swivelling direction pointing away from the box bottom. The sliding lid is, on one side, guided in the sliding direction and with play in each transverse direction thereto on the guide plate and, on the other side, is guided via a connecting link guide on the box.

Container for the interior of a vehicle

Center console area for a front passenger side of a motor vehicle features mechanical guide elements assigned to a hinge arrangement so that the glove compartment lid is aligned at least in its open end position approximately parallel to and at a narrow distance from the outer contour of the center console area. A receiving device for a beverage container, a bow shaped holder, is integrated into the glove compartment lid and can be swivelled out into a horizontal operating position.

A receiving arrangement for equipment and/or objects in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, has a shaft with inserts arranged therein above one another, such as a tray, a cassette box, an ashtray and the like. For a reliable holding of the inserts in the shaft, also in the case of a rear impact and while maintaining a simple mounting and demounting of the inserts, longitudinal guides are provided between each insert and the lateral shaft walls, for the drawer-type sliding-in and sliding-out of the inserts from the direction of the passenger compartment. A locking mechanism, which can be released only manually, is provided between each insert and the shaft and which engages automatically when the insert is slid in. The locking mechanisms are arranged in the shaft so that they are accessible for manual operation only after the removal of the insert disposed above from the shaft. Directly above the insert which is uppermost in the shaft, an access space reaches over the insert depth and is preferably occupied by a car radio or another fixedly mounted unit.

Receiving arrangement for equipment and/or objects in a motor vehicle

A coverable container for the seat-area of vehicles, having a box-like housing which is open towards the top, and a flap or cover which can be pivoted on the housing and is designed as an arm rest for a seat occupant. To provide a vertically adjustable arm rest, a support lever is articulated on the underside of the flap at a distance from the pivot axis of the flap, which support lever, by means of a latching lug, can latch, into latching grooves arranged one above the other. The support lever is guided, by means of a guide pin, in a guide track which has two separate, spaced-apart track sections connected by upper and lower junctions to provide a continuous guide track. A mechanism is provided for effecting a changeover of the guide pin in the junction such that an upwards movement of the guide pin takes place only in the track section in the vicinity of the latching strip, and a downwards movement of the guide pin takes place only in the track section remote from the latching strip, so that in its downward movement the latching lug of the support lever bypasses the latching groves.

In veneered components for the body interior of motor vehicles, in particular for the interior of motor cars, the components are provided on the exposed side of the base part with a thin, decorative cover layer, firmly adhering thereto, of a peelable natural material. The cover layer consists of natural cork. Veneered components for the body interior of motor vehicles are thus provided which have a good visual appearance and the trim parts are pleasant to the touch.

A storage compartment for a motor vehicle and the like, comprises a receptacle having a bottom well which is lowered relative to an access opening situated at the front. The receptacle has a carrier body into which the bottom well can be detachably inserted, and upright side wall parts, formed or and extending beyond the bottom well. When upright, the side wall parts prevent the bottom well from being removed from the carrier body and can be folded in against the bottom well.

A cover sleeve for the protective covering of a clearance for the passage of a steering column of a motor vehicle through a dashboard is disclosed. To accommodate adjustment of the steering column as to its inclination and length, the cover sleeve is fastened by one end to the dashboard and by the other end to a steering column casing. The cover sleeve is braced between its fastening ends by a displaceable frame which is mounted on the casing and is acted upon in its direction of displacement by a resilient tensioning element.

A glove box, for motor vehicles is arranged beneath the instrument panel, and is provided with a lid pivotably mounted on it about a horizontal axis. A closing device secures the lid to the glove box. To reduce the risk of injury to vehicle occupants which results from the closing device, a lock part of the closing device is arranged on the underside of the instrument panel with a latchbolt fastened inside a cavity on the inside of the lid and a latch which can be activated through a traction cable from a remote location is provided.

A central locking system for motor vehicles, not only doors and tailgate and gas tank-cap lids, but also several flaps of containers arranged in the passenger space (gloveboxes, small luggage compartments). These locks can be released and locked jointly by a unitary switch signal, or for specific conditions, both the doors and lids and the flaps can respectively be locked and released separately in groups.

The application relates to a fastening means for a gas cushion unit associated with a passenger seat in a motor car, where the gas cushion unit exhibits a housing which is slidable into a frame formed by fixed parts of the vehicle and is anchorable there by the cooperation of a central screw ehich penetrates frame and housing at their upper side and lower side. In order to achieve absolutely reliable anchorage for a minimum assembly outlay, it is provided according to the invention that a channel closed radially at least in sections and serving for the passage of the central screw is provided on the rear side of the housing at least on a part of its vertical extension.

A crash element is provided which includes at least one covering layer element for covering at least a portion of a blow-molded supporting body. A foam material is disposed in at least a portion of an interior of the blow-molded supporting body. Molded-on fastening elements are provided in an area devoid of the at least one covering layer element.

An ashtray, particularly for automotive vehicles, includes a receiving frame which can be fastened in a wall recess, a receiving housing pivotably connected to the frame, and an ashtray insert removably arranged in the housing. The ashtray insert is mounted in the receiving housing in such a manner that it can be lifted toward an opening between the frame and the housing by an actuating element such as a spring-steel strip. A detent spring includes a detent projection which releasably holds the insert within the housing and a deceleration projection which prevents the insert from being ejected when it is released.

A covering for a folded gas cushion which is adapted to fold open by pivoting down, and which is provided with a reinforcement embedded in a padding layer; the reinforcement consists of a very strong synthetic plastic fabric that, prior to the foaming of the padding layer, is connected, for example, by gluing with a deformable lower fastening part; an anchoring for the covering is produced by a groove- and spring-like cooperation of at least one section of a boundary edge of the covering with an adjoining fixed vehicle part.
