A tubular filter element consisting of a filter leaf which is pleated and connected at both its fold ends to a hollow cylindrical filter body (F) both of whose front surfaces are sealed by end caps (11, 13), one end cap (13) of which opens, as a connection cap, the hollow core (10') for communication with a housing space (3) of a surrounding housing, the force flow guidance of the fluid to be treated takes place along the folds (10) through a tube (6', 5) which extends through the hollow core (10') of the filter body (F), rests on the fold edges of the filter body (F), is open at one end in the area of the fold range functioning as outlet or inlet (20), is tapered in the area of the fold range functioning as inlet or outlet (21) and forms a connection (5) for the recirculating flow of fluid coaxially to the connection cap (3) for the flow of fluid to be treated which cap establishes the housing communication.

Tubular filter element

In a wound filter module with an areal or flat filter band with draining support and spacing band wound around a draining means, central hollow core (K), whose longitudinal edges are enclosed in a wound state in a sealing element (4,6,4',6'), the filter band and the spacing band (1,3) are connected, resting on one another in a coinciding manner, by their two ends to a closed, that is, endless band (B1, B2, B3, B4, Bn) which encloses a central hollow core (K) or a filter core (KB1; KB1,B2;KB1,B2,B3) with its inner side and which is wound around the latter in a spiral manner. Every further, closed filter band with spacing band encloses the particular filter element (K, B1) previously formed and is wound around the latter. The fluid to be filtered and also the filtrate obtained from the individual layers can penetrate both transversally as well as tangentially in the direction of the individual spiral windings (B1 to Bn) to the hollow core (K). The filter module can be better adapted in their design to the very different requirements by virtue of this winding principle.

Wound filter module

In an integral filter (F) for separating fluid components which filter can be enclosed in a surrounding housing (1,2) with fluid connections (A1 l to A3, 10) the permeable tube jacket of which filter consists of several tubular filter elements (K1, K2) with different filter qualities whose cross sections are stepped in such a manner that a smaller filter element is surrounded by a larger filter element, optionally with formation of an intermediary space (Z1), and in which the two tube ends are enclosed by closure and connection adapters (15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 31) and can be adapted to fluid chambers (13, 14) of the housing, sections of the total filter (F) can be selectively tested for integrity, supplied with and emptied of fluid and filling substances via an intermediary space (Z1) between two filter elements (K1, K2) which intermediary space can be separately controlled and loaded from the outside.

Integral filters for separating fluid components and housing for them

A replaceable, rectangular, flat, selectively permeable filter element (1) for the framelike section (27, 30) of a sheet filter device (20) consisting of metal and/or hard plastic for the filtration of fluids (liquid and/or gas) can be clamped in by its edge in a leak-proof manner and like a sandwich between a housing part (30) on the sediment chamber side and a housing part (27) on the filtrate chamber side and supported against the pressure gradient on a draining housing support plate (27), whereby the sediment chamber and the filtrate chamber are provided with connections (22, 25) for supplying and emptying the housing chambers. The flat filter element (1) is formed by a flat filter band pleated into a plurality of close folds and adapted to the inside dimension of a hollow chamber (30) in length, width and depth, whereby it essentially fills up this inside dimension, whereby the open folds and the web backs of one side of the pleating face the sediment chamber (41) and the open folds and the web backs of the other side face the filtrate chamber (47), and the pleating, formed to a flat cuboid (plate), of the filter band blank constructed with at least one layer is surrounded in a frame-like manner by a plastic seal (6) and the latter is provided with a formed sealing flange (7) with which the filter cassette can be clamped in a leakproof manner between the housing parts. The pleating is covered on both sides by a support grid (10, 11) whose edges are anchored in order to brace the filter cassette in the material of the seal (6) and/or of the sealing flange (7).

Flat filter element for the filtration of fluids

There is disclosed an axially folded tubular filter element for the filtration of fluids. The ends of the radially extending folds are in abutment at the internal folds with a support core and in abutment at the externally facing folds internally with an outer support grid. The support has a plurality of perforations. The ends of the tubular filter element are enclosed by a cap which encloses the ends of the tubular filter element in a sealing manner. The outside of the support core which supports the internally facing fold edges has a series of outwardly extending corrugated sections with rounded corrugated outwardly extending ridges, and the said perforations are located in the valleys of the corrugations. The corrugated structure extends in a longitudinal direction, is relatively flat and runs in a circumferential direction. A drainage pathway is also supplied along the outer surface of the support core.

Tubular filter element with mated end caps

There is disclosed tubular filter element for the filtration of fluids, which is equipped with an enclosing housing with an inlet and outlet or is insertable into such a housing. The filter element is cylindrical and consists of a plurality of pleated radially extending folds. The filter is built up in several layers and the junction is bridged through at least one flexible connecting blank of synthetic material engaging between two layers and durably connected tight against leakage cohesively or adhesively by two seams or connecting zones. The flexible connecting blank by having a section extending between longitudinal edge portions of junction form an open fold pointing radially outwardly and a fold web pointing radially inwardly of the filter element.
