The present invention relates to a method for disconnecting two fluid-conducting line sections of a medical device which are detachably interconnected, wherein a first line section of the two line sections has at least partially an elastic property. The method comprises the steps of enclosing a fluid volume in the two line sections, generating a reduced pressure in the two line sections, as a result of which elastic deformation from a starting position into a tensioned position takes place in and/or on the first line section, wherein a fluid volume contained in the first line section is lower in the tensioned position than a fluid volume contained in the starting position, and detaching the connection of the line sections, wherein the fluid volume contained in the first line section in the tensioned position increases. Furthermore, the invention relates to a medical device which is configured to carry out a method of this kind.

The present disclosure relates to an insert piece for a blood tubing set. The insert piece includes at least a first connection site for connecting a first tubing portion of the blood tubing set to the insert piece, and a second connection site for connecting a second tubing portion of the blood tubing set to the insert piece. The invention further relates a method for monitoring the integrity of a dialyser. The blood treatment device provides a preparation mode in preparation for the blood treatment, in which the dialysate chamberof the dialyser(filter) is filled with a liquid, while the blood chamberis not filled with blood, and a treatment mode following the preparation mode, in which blood is conveyed through the blood chamber. For monitoring the integrity of the dialyser, in the preparation mode the fluid system B including the dialysate chamber, or a portion of the fluid system including the dialysate chamber, is filled with a liquid. At this time, however, the blood chamberis not filled with blood. After the membrane of the dialyserhas been wetted with liquid, liquid is removed from the fluid system B including the dialysate chambersuch that a low pressure p is established in the fluid system. The control and arithmetic unitof the blood treatment device is so configured that the increase in the amount of the low pressure p, measured by means of a pressure measuring apparatus, in a given time interval is determined, and the leakage rate LR of the fluid system is determined from the increase in the amount of the low pressure in a given time interval and the compliance C of the fluid system B including the dialysate chamber. A lack of integrity of the dialyser is then concluded on the basis of the determined leakage rate LR.
