A trimmer head for a trimmer has a base member having a trimmer line opening. A clamping device arranged in the base member clamps a trimmer line that defines a cutting plane when rotated. The clamping member of the clamping device is rotatably disposed on a pivot bolt having a pivot axis positioned in a plane that is parallel to the cutting plane. The clamping member is spring-loaded by a clamping spring into a clamping position. The trimmer line is secured in the clamping position between a clamping surface and the clamping member. A centrifugal force acting on the trimmer line loads the clamping member in the clamping position. A U-shaped bracket has bracket legs connected by a stay. The clamping member is positioned between the bracket legs. The pivot bolt is supported on the bracket leg ends. The stay of the U-shaped bracket forms the clamping surface.

Trimmer head for a trimmer

In an arrangement of a power tool and a carrying system, the carrying system has a support strap and a releasable fastening device for attaching the power tool to the support strap. The carrying system has an actuating device that actuates the releasable fastening device from a fastening position into a release position. The fastening device has a pivotable hook that in the fastening position is hooked to an eye and secures the power tool on the carrying system. When the carrying system is arranged on a user and the power tool is secured on the carrying system and the fastening device is actuated from the fastening position into the release position, the hook is pivoted such that the eye slides out of the hook because of the weight of the power tool.

Arrangement of power tool and carrying system

A backpack suction/blower apparatus has a blower unit () which includes a drive motor (), a blower (), which is driven by the drive motor (), and a blower tube () extending from the blower (). A back carrier frame () is provided on which the blower unit () is attached at a spacing while forming an intake gap (). The intake gap () is filled with a foam attenuating element () in the lateral direction () referred to the usual working position.

Backpack suction/blower apparatus

An internal combustion engine having an intake channel for supply of fuel and combustion air, and divided over a portion of its length into a mixture channel, and into a supply channel for supply of largely fuel-free air. A simple manufacture of the engine and a simple construction are achieved if a portion of the intake channel is guided in an elastic intake adapter, whereby the intake adapter has a partition that extends over at least a portion of the length of the intake adapter and divides the intake channel into a mixture channel and a supply channel.

Internal combustion engine

A connector for the connection of hoses, comprising a first connection stub having a first free end for receiving a first hose, and a second connection stub for receiving a second hose. The first hose has an inner diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the second hose, and the second connection stub is provided with a shoulder that, in a direction toward the second free end, decreases from a first outer diameter to a second outer diameter, with the first outer diameter being larger than the inner diameter of the first hose. The second outer diameter can be smaller or the same as the inner diameter of the first hose.

A manually-guided, portable suction device/blower is provided, and includes a blower unit having a motor for driving the blower unit, a blower tube that extends from the blower unit, a collection bag, wherein during suction operation of the suction device/blower, the blower tube opens out into the collection bag, and a potential-equalizing device disposed within the collection bag, wherein the potential-equalizing device is electrically conductively connected with an electrical ground connection of the suction device/blower.

The invention relates to a portable handheld work apparatus including a chain saw, a vacuum/blower apparatus or the like. A valve drive having a rocker arm mounted on a cylinder head is provided. One end of the rocker arm is actuated by a push rod to actuate a valve stem of a poppet valve that engages the other end of the rocker arm, which is pivotably held between its ends on a support pin that extends into the cylinder head, with a spherical mounting being provided between the support pin and the rocker arm. Provided on that side of the rocker arm remote from the cylinder head is a bolt head for adjusting the bearing spacing between the rocker arm and the cylinder head for adjusting valve play. To prevent unintended adjustment of the bolt head, the latter cooperates with a rotation preventing element that has an arresting portion that engages the bolt head, and a support portion that conveys the adjustment moment away.

Valve drive having a rocker arm

The invention is directed to an internal combustion engine for a portable handheld work apparatus. The engine includes a cylinder having a combustion chamber and a piston rotates a crankshaft via a connecting rod. The crankshaft is mounted in a crankcase and is connected to a cam drive. The cam drive drives a valve control for an inlet valve and an outlet valve. The inlet valve controls an overflow channel which leads from the crankcase to the combustion chamber, and the outlet valve controls an outlet channel branching away from the combustion chamber. Furthermore, an intake channel, which opens into the crankcase, and a housing, which is separate from the crankcase, are provided for the cam drive. In order to provide a lubrication for the cam drive which is independent of position, the cam drive is configured as a gear wheel drive and an oil sump is provided in the housing of the cam drive. At least one gear wheel of the cam drive is so arranged that it dips at least partially into the oil sump and pumps oil for lubricating the movable parts of the engine.

Internal combustion engine for a portable handheld work apparatus

An internal combustion engine has a reciprocating piston moving in a cylinder. A crank shaft is mounted in the interior of the crankcase. A connecting rod connects the piston to the crankshaft. The crankcase has a venting device for pressure compensation of the interior of the crankcase. The venting device has a venting line having a channel extending in a rotary component of the engine.

The invention relates to a reciprocating piston engine having a piston which moves upwardly and downwardly and which rotatably drives a crankshaft and components connected therewith via a connecting rod. The crankshaft is journalled in the crankcase which has a crankcase venting system to compensate pressure in the interior space of the crankcase. The venting system includes a venting line leading away from the interior space of the crankcase. The venting line is configured as a channel in a rotating component in order to achieve a functionally reliable pressure compensation with high separating action. The channel defines a connection between the interior space of the crankcase and the atmosphere. A valve is mounted in this channel and this valve becomes unblocked under the action of centrifugal force and seals the crankcase with respect to fluids when the engine is at standstill.

Reciprocating piston engine

A belt arrangement for carrying a hand-held working tool has a back plate for positioning on the back of the operator using the working tool. The back plate has an upper end and a lower end. Shoulder straps are connected to the upper end of the back plate. The shoulder straps have forward ends. A lateral strap is connected to the back plate and loops forwardly. The lateral strap has a forward end. A support plate for supporting the working tool is positioned opposite the lateral strap. The support plate has a support strap having a first end connected to the lateral strap. A hip belt is connected to the lower end of the back plate and has a first portion looping forwardly from the back plate and connected to the first end of the support strap. The forward end of the lateral strap, the forward ends of the shoulder straps, and a free end of the first portion of the hip belt are positioned separate from one another. A connecting strap for each one of the forward ends of the shoulder straps is provided. The connecting straps connect the shoulder straps to the lower end of the back plate.

Belt arrangement for carrying a hand-held working tool

A hand-held working tool has a drive motor and a grip connected at a distance to the drive motor. Operating elements, including a throttle lever, a choke actuator, and a short-circuiting switch, are connected to the grip for controlling the drive motor. A transmission device, including a Bowden cable arrangement with a sleeve and a cable enclosed by the sleeve, is provided for connecting the operating elements to the drive motor. The transmission device has an inner tube inserted into the Bowden cable arrangement wherein the inner tube is positioned between the sleeve and the cable so as to be longitudinally displaceable relative to the sleeve and the cable.
