An infusion system includes a pump and a replaceable pump module. The pump module can be arranged in a mount of the pump and includes a plunger-barrel unit operatively connectable to a drive mechanism of the pump. The pump module includes a plunger that can be coupled to the drive mechanism by a coupling structure operatively connected to the plunger and a counter-coupling structure for connecting engagement in the coupling structure and operatively connected to the drive mechanism. In a securing position, the infusion system includes a securing member which locks the coupling structure and the counter-coupling structure to each other. In addition or in the alternative, the infusion pump includes a control link operatively connected to the pump module.

A pump module for an infusion pump includes a plunger-cylinder unit that can be coupled to the infusion pump in order to deliver fluid from a fluid feed line into a fluid drain line to a patient. The plunger-cylinder unit has a delivery chamber that is fluidically connected to the fluid feed line and the fluid drain line. The delivery chamber is delimited by the cylinder (). The plunger can be moved linearly/back and forth in the axial direction. A plunger seal seals the plunger in relation to the cylinder. The section of the wall of the cylinder, over which the plunger seal passes during the back-and-forth motion of the plunger, is sealed in a sterile manner in relation to the surroundings.

A piercing part for a medical infusion system includes a housing with a piercing mandrel, a fluid channel and a ventilation channel with a first channel portion extending at least substantially parallel to the fluid channel and with a second channel portion diverted towards an outside of the housing and to which an air filter element and a fluid shut-off member are assigned. A drip chamber can include a piercing part. The piercing part can be produced by an injection molding tool. The second channel portion in the housing is oriented parallel to the first channel portion and open towards an inside of the housing. An open region of the channel portion is closed by a separately produced closure part. The piercing part can be used with a medical infusion system.

A medical fluid connector, having a first body with a tube section with an inlet and a first thread, a second body with an outlet and a second thread that engages the first thread to move the first and second bodies between closed and opened positions. The second body has a third thread that is configured to rotate in the opposite direction in relation to said first and second threads. The connector has a closure cap with a fourth thread that, in a delivery state of the fluid connector, is detachably screwed to the third thread of the second body, wherein the fluid connector assumes the open position, and wherein the outlet is closed off in an air-permeable and liquid-tight manner by means of the closure cap.

A securing device for securing an infusion appliance to an infusion container includes a first fastening element, which is designed in such a way that it is connectable to a fastening region of the infusion container, and a second fastening element, which is arranged at a distance from the first fastening element and which is designed in such a way that it is connectable to a fastening region of the infusion appliance. At least one connection element connects the first fastening element and the second fastening element to each other. The securing device can be used for medical infusion and transfusion arrangements.

A connection device includes a connection body which has a hose adapter and a connector piece for releasably fastening a further fluid conduit component or fluid storage component. The connection body is coaxially surrounded by a securing sleeve. The securing sleeve is axially securable on the connection body in two securing positions that are axially mutually spaced apart relative to a central longitudinal axis of the connection body. Rotatability of the securing sleeve is possible in a first securing position, and jamming of the securing sleeve on a hose portion that is plug-fitted onto the hose adapter is possible in a second securing position.

A retentive catheter having a cannula tube through which medications may be injected into a patient. A mandrin may be left in the retentive catheter during the injection. The medication is injected through an injection port and flows through a fluid channel between the mandrin and the cannula tube and is discharged from the cannula tube through a valve. The valve may be of the nonreturn type. The mandril tip prevents blood components from entering into the cannula tube. The protection against contamination is increased because the mandrin need not be removed from a proposed injection.
