A motor vehicle () has a wind deflector () adjacent an upper cowl (), a roof arrangement () behind the wind deflector () and an air-guiding device () behind the roof arrangement (). The wind deflector () is extended into a first operative position (WS) and the rear air-guiding device () is transferred into first lifting position (HS) if the roof arrangement () is open and if the driving speed (VF) of the motor vehicle () is below a predetermined first value (V). The wind deflector () is transferred into a second operative position (WS) and the rear air-guiding device () is transferred into a second lifting position (HS) above the first lifting position (HS) if the roof arrangement () is open and if the driving speed (VF) is above a predetermined, second value (V).

Method for operating a motor vehicle with a wind deflector, a roof arrangement and a rear air-guiding device

A roof construction includes a movable roof section which, after being lowered, can be displaced under a fixed roof section. Viewed in the forward driving direction, a protective and covering strip is provided on the rear edge of the movable roof section. This protective and covering strip covers the connection area between the two roof sections on the one hand and, on the other hand, covers a gap which is formed when the movable roof section is lowered.

Roof construction for a motor vehicle

A passenger car body includes a removable top constructed as a roof which covers a passenger compartment above a belt line of the body. So that the occupants have particularly good viewing conditions while the venting of the passenger compartment is good, the removable top has roof frames which bound the side windows and between which--viewed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle--there extend several transparent roof sections.
