An aircraft seat device for an aircraft seat includes at least one mounting unit, having at least one seat bottom which is coupled with the mounting unit and is configured to implement a seating region and to this end has at least one main unit and at least one sub-unit that in relation to the mounting unit is implemented so as to be adjustable between a stowage position and a use position. The at least one adjustable sub-unit is configured for enlarging the seating region in at least one position, and having at least one actuation mechanism by means of which the adjustable sub-unit of the seat bottom is adjustable between its stowage position and its use position.

An airplane seat device with at least one airplane seat is at least configured to be adjusted between a use position and a stowage position. In the stowage position, the airplane seat has a maximum height which is equal to or less than a maximum height in the use position.

A seating device, in particular on a flight passenger seating device includes a moveably mounted primary unit and a moveably mounted secondary unit. The seating device has a locking unit which, depending on at least one operating position of the secondary unit, avoids a movement of the primary unit relative to a mounting unit.

The invention relates to a seat, in particular, a vehicle or aircraft passenger seat with seat components such as a seat base (), a backrest () and a coupling device () for coupling the movement of at least one part of the seat components between an exit (I) and at least one comfortable (II) position and vice versa. According to the invention, the coupling device () comprises at least one control piece, which may be controlled using the movement of the backrest () and/or the seat base () and hence by means of at least one further control piece to move the seat base () and/or the backrest () between said positions (I, II), whereby an adjustment, in particular, tilting movement of the backrest is linked with a simultaneous adjustment movement of the seat base which, preferably in the rearward transition region into the backrest descends by a given amount relative to the front edge of the seat which simultaneously moves forward to increase the seat depth.

A seat arrangement for an aircraft seat includes a seat frame for mounting the seat on a cabin floor and a seat region. The seat arrangement has a backrest unit and is designed to improve stiffness of the backrest unit against one-sided torsional load. The backrest unit is coupled to the seat frame by a kinematic unit having at least first and second kinematic parts coupled to a first side and a second side of the backrest unit, respectively. A stiffening member is located in the seat region that couples the first and second kinematic parts and is provided for transmitting a torsional moment from the first side of the backrest unit to the second side of the backrest unit.

A vehicle seat has seating components, such as a seat piece (), a backrest () and a leg-rest (), which are adjustable as to their positions, particularly in their relative inclination, by at least one operating device (). A monitoring device monitors all the boundary geometries () of the moving seat components which may cause collisions and which have given spatial constraints (). The monitoring device controls the operating devices () at all points to guarantee a collision-free movement of all seat components within the spatial constraints. The vehicle seat considered as a total system can undergo adjustment processes without a damaging collision occurring.

A drive () reversible to two active states for optional generation of a force of displacement effecting retraction or extension of a foot rest configuration () is provided in an aircraft seat. The seat has seat components such as backrest seat element (), and leg rest () coupled to the front edge area () of the seat element and pivotable between a lowered non-use position and raised use position. A foot rest configuration () is mounted to be movable longitudinally on the leg rest () between a retracted position and an extended position to form an extension of the leg rest (). The leg rest is coupled to drive () which may be switched between an inactive state of rest and an active state generating a force for displacement of the foot rest configuration ().
