Cooling appliance, including a housing having an opening formed therein, at least one door for sealing the opening, at least one first bearing part fixed on the housing in vicinity of the opening, at least one second bearing part being movably disposed on the first bearing part, at least one supporting tray disposed in the housing and having a given region being disposed on the at least one second bearing part, the supporting tray having a curved portion opposite the given region for permitting the tray to be at least partly swung out of the housing when the door is open, damping means disposed on the tray opposite the housing for damping the impact thereof when swung into the housing, and retaining means disposed on the tray opposite the housing for catching the tray when swung into the housing.

Cooling appliance, especially a household refrigerator or the like

A dual temperature refrigerator driven by a single compressor, having a refrigeration cycle provided with a condenser, a refrigerant metering device and refrigerant transfer lines with at least two evaporator sections connected in series with the first in a colder compartment and the second in a warmer compartment. Two separate, intermittantly activated control elements; one associated with the warmer compartment turns on a heater of a refrigerant collector causing refrigerant to discharge therefrom, and thereby to fill the evaporator of the warmer compartment, the second control element associated with the colder compartment is activated by a sensor in the colder compartment and in turn activates the compressor. The first control element indirectly activates the compressor by means of a second heating element which heats the sensor which in turn activates the second control element which in turn activates the compressor. As a result there is time delay which permits equalization of the pressure in the refrigeration machine before starting up the compressor.

Refrigeration unit

In a dual temperature refrigerator with a single compressor from which refrigerant flows through a condenser and a capillary tube into a first evaporator, and from the first evaporator through a connecting line into a second evaporator, a refrigerant collector being connected to the condenser at the beginning of the capillary tube, the collector having a volumetric capacity equal to that of the second evaporator and being provided with a heater, a control element in the chamber of the second evaporator intermittently activating the compressor and heater, a suction line from the second evaporator to the compressor, and at least part of the capillary tube in heat-exchange contact with the connecting line. Preferably part of the capillary tube is disposed within the connecting line. Desirably the capillary tube and connecting line are disposed in the insulation of the refrigerator. The invention avoids unwanted drastic temperature drops in the chamber of the second evaporator due to overflowing excess liquid and wet vapor from the first evaporator.

Refrigerator unit, particularly dual temperature refrigerator

A refrigerating device has a housing including at least one storage compartment. A cooling apparatus including an evaporator, a compressor and a condenser is accommodated in the base of the housing, the evaporator being surrounded by a casing of a thermally conductive material in good thermal contact with the evaporator. The casing separates a passage for circulating a stream of air to be cooled from an additional passage through which an additional stream of air is intermittently passed, after being conducted past or through the condenser or compressor of the cooling apparatus and being heated thereby, the heated additional stream of air defrosting the evaporator. The intermittent passage of the stream of hot air is controlled by deviating flap valves which may be insulated, the position of the flap valves being controlled in dependence on operating parameters of the cooling apparatus.
