A gas bag restraint system has a gas bag module and a fastening device for said gas bag module. The fastening device has at least one spring that during assembly comes into latching engagement with the hook. The spring has a mounting section and a hook-side latching section as well as at least one wound section provided between the mounting section and the latching section.

A steering wheel horn contact unit has a metal contact sheet (). The metal contact sheet () is embedded into a carrier part () of plastic and mounted therein and has at least one freely projecting horn contact tongue (). Viewed in switching movement direction (X), the horn contact tongue () is surrounded by the carrier part ().

Steering wheel horn contact unit and assembly

The invention relates to a vehicle steering wheel with a steering wheel rim, the steering wheel comprising a skeleton, and a skeleton covering which is visible from the exterior and has recesses. The skeleton covering is provided in a region of the steering wheel rim. The steering wheel further comprises at least one decorative segment which supplements a part of the skeleton covering and has detent noses which engage into the recesses in the skeleton covering. The decorative segment is a half shell having an essentially clip-shaped form in cross-section and has free edges which are provided with the detent noses.

Vehicle steering wheel

The invention relates to a steering wheel, in particular for use in motor vehicles. The steering wheel comprises a steering wheel plane, an airbag module, a support plate and a spring plate connected to the support plate via an electrically insulating element. The steering wheel further comprises an insulating support fixed to the steering wheel, and restoring springs for replacing the airbag module in an initial position after displacement for actuation of a horn contact. The airbag module, for actuation of the horn contact, is constructed so as to be displaceable approximately perpendicularly to the steering wheel plane against the restoring springs by at least a contact gap. The airbag module is connected with the support plate extending substantially parallel to the steering wheel plane, the support plate being connected electrically to the vehicle, forming an earth contact and cooperating with the spring plate defining a counter-contact arranged so as to be electrically insulated with respect to the vehicle. The spring plate is aligned substantially parallel to the steering wheel plane and has at least one contact arm which is able to be deflected elastically, approximately perpendicularly to the support plate and is able to be supported on a rear face on the insulating support.

Steering wheel with airbag module and horn contract

A mechanism is provided for the releasable, positive fastening of the back wall of the housing of an airbag module to a supporting component of a motor vehicle body, wherein at least two fastening points are formed. For each fastening point, on the housing back wall or on the supporting component, a pin is provided and on the other of the supporting component or the housing back wall, an opening is provided. A resiliently biased catch mechanism is disposed in the area of the opening. The pin has on its shaft a detent and has a cone-shaped or wedge-shaped front portion. The catch mechanism is biased transversely of its longitudinal axis from a closed position to an open position from which it springs back into a catching position when the pin has reached the given fastening position in the opening.
