Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a signal that is transmitted by a base station with a modulation signature associated with a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) or a repeater and redirected by the RIS or the repeater using modulation that reverses the modulation signature associated with the RIS or the repeater. The UE may decode the signal, wherein the signal is decodable by the UE based at least in part on the signal being redirected by the RIS or the repeater using the modulation that reverses the modulation signature associated with the RIS or the repeater. Numerous other aspects are described.

Efficient reconfigurable intelligent surface or repeater assisted communication

Aspects presented herein relate to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a node or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may receive, via a first set of resources, communication including at least one data packet, the first set of resources allocated for a reception entity of the node. The apparatus may also decode, at the reception entity, the at least one data packet during a decoding period, the decoding period including a decoding start time and a decoding completion time. Additionally, the apparatus may transmit, via a second set of resources, the communication including the at least one data packet to a next hop node, the second set of resources allocated for a forwarding entity of the node, at least one first resource overlapping with at least one second resource.

Repetition transmissions with overlapping resources

Independent ranging sessions that are initiated by multiple initiating user equipments (UEs) are detected and combined into a single combined ranging session to reduce overhead. The independent ranging sessions may be determined to be nearby and concurrent when a UE detects a number of ranging cycles within a predetermined time. The UE may send messages to each initiator UE indicating that the ranging sessions should be combined and the initiator UEs will terminated initiating any further ranging sessions. Combined ranging session may be initiated by the UE and may include all of the participating UEs from the independent ranging sessions. The combined ranging session continues until it is determined that one or more UEs in the combined ranging session are not receiving ranging signals from other UEs.

A method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a reference signal (RS) configuration from a first base station. The RS configuration indicates an RS identifier (ID) of an RS associated with a second base station. The method also includes receiving the RS from the second base station based on receiving the RS configuration. The method further includes transmitting, to the first base station, an interference measurement report associated with receiving the RS from the second base station. The interference measurement report indicates the RS ID associated with the RS from the second base station.

In some aspects, a user equipment may monitor a wake-up signal (WUS) occasion based at least in part on a discontinuous reception cycle activation duration timer; and receive a reference signal (RS) during the WUS occasion, wherein the RS is to facilitate a UE-assisted calibration of at least one antenna element on at least one panel associated with a base station or a base station-assisted calibration of at least one antenna element on at least one panel associated with the UE. Leveraging wake-up signals and discontinuous reception cycles for assisted antenna calibration

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for scheduled communications in which multiple different communication instances are scheduled between a user equipment (UE) and a base station. Different communication parameters for different communication instances may be selected based on reported channel conditions between the UE and the base station. Subsequent to a report of channel conditions results in chanced communication parameters, the UE may blind decode a one or more scheduled communications using multiple candidate sets of decoding hypotheses to identify a first candidate set of decoding parameters that is used for the first scheduled communication. Such techniques provide that communication parameters may be adjusted based on channel conditions, and a UE may decode a communication in the event that the base station does not successfully receive a measurement report and continues transmissions using a prior set of parameters.
