A battery module includes a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked, a first frame for covering a lower portion of the battery cell stack and a second frame for covering an upper portion of the battery cell stack. The first frame includes first side portions for covering both side surfaces of the battery cell stack. The second frame comprises second side portions for covering the first side portions, and wherein a side member is located between the first side portion and the second side portion.

Discussed is a battery back that includes: a plurality of battery modules that includes a battery cell stack, a module frame for housing the battery cell stack, and a heat sink located under a bottom part of the module frame; a pack frame that houses the plurality of battery modules; and a refrigerant transfer bolt that fastens the bottom part of the module frame, the heat sink, and the pack frame, wherein the pack frame includes a pack refrigerant pipe for supplying and discharging refrigerant, wherein a connection pipe for connecting the pack refrigerant pipe and the heat sink is formed through the refrigerant transfer bolt, and wherein the refrigerant transfer bolt includes an opening/closing member that opens or cuts off the connection pipe in response to a temperature of the refrigerant.

A battery module of the present disclosure includes: a cell assembly including at least one battery cell; a module case accommodating the cell assembly; and a module connector mounted on a mounting surface outside the module case, electrically connected to the cell assembly, and connectable to an external connector outside the module case. The module connector may include a body portion connected to a terminal coupled to the battery cell, and a fastening portion configured to have elasticity on one side of the body portion facing the mounting surface of the module case.

The battery module according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a module frame housing the battery cell stack; and a first heat sink located at an upper part of the module frame, wherein the first heat sink includes an upper plate and a lower plate, wherein a lower plate of the first heat sink constitutes an upper cover of the module frame, and wherein the first heat sink includes a cooling flow passage having at least one partition wall is-formed between the upper plate and the upper cover of the module frame.

A battery pack includes a lower pack housing having a plurality of module regions; a partition wall that partitions the plurality of module regions; a cell block that is mounted in each of the plurality of module regions; and a coupling member that couples the cell block and the partition wall, wherein the cell block includes a battery cell stack formed by stacking a plurality of battery cells; and a side surface plate located between the battery cell stack and the partition wall.

A battery cell with an electrode assembly and a pouch case is disclosed herein. The electrode assembly can include a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween. The electrode assembly can have a planar shape with four sides. The pouch case can accommodate the electrode assembly. The pouch case can include a first accommodating portion to accommodate a portion of the electrode assembly, a second accommodating portion to accommodate the remaining portion of the electrode assembly. A folding portion of the pouch case can be configured to fold the pouch case such that the first accommodating portion and the second accommodating portion face each other. The pouch case can include a seam allowance formed by boning an extension of a sealing portion of the pouch case to an extension of the folding portion at an intersection of the folding portion and the sealing portion.

A battery pack can include a battery cell stack having a plurality of battery cells stacked in a first direction, and a battery cover covering the battery cell stack and having a first surface facing the battery cell stack and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The battery cover can include a venting part that extends from the first surface to the second surface of the battery cover, a barrier layer covers the venting part at the first surface of the battery cover, the barrier layer having an inner surface that is exposed to the battery cell stack, and a first refractory part positioned on an outer surface of the barrier layer that is opposite to the inner surface of the barrier layer.

A battery module including: a cell assembly including a battery cell stack containing a plurality of battery cells; a housing surrounding the cell assembly; and an end plate covering front and rear surfaces of the cell assembly that are present at an opening of the housing. The housing includes a frame member covering a lower portion and side portions of the cell assembly, an upper plate covering an upper portion of the cell assembly, and first and second fixing portions. The first and second fixing portions have different coupling shapes, and are formed along the edges of the upper plate that is coupled with the frame member.

The busbar comprises a busbar plate, which is a portion welded to the electrode lead, and a busbar connection part that is formed by bending one end of the busbar plate in a direction perpendicular to a surface of the busbar plate.
