A power unit includes a cam damper mechanism having a cam member reciprocally and unrotatably provided on one of a pair of bevel gears, and rotatably provided on an extended shaft; a lifter member slidably and unrotatably provided on the extended shaft in an axial direction; a damper spring configured such that one end portion thereof is supported on a first flange portion of the extended shaft, and the other end portion thereof biases the lifter member toward the cam member in an axial direction by abutting on the lifter member, and the biasing force is supported by the one bevel gear. The extended shaft has the one of the bevel gears and the cam damper mechanism between the first flange portion and a first bearing, and is accommodated in the bevel gear case so as to be fixed to a bevel gear holder along with the first bearing.

Power unit of shaft drive type vehicle

A twin-clutch type transmission unit includes inner and outer shafts provided respectively with first and second disc clutches for transmission and interruption of input from a prime mover, a plurality of drive gears provided on the inner and outer shafts, and a counter shaft provided with driven gears selectively operable to mesh with the drive gears, with the first and second disc clutches of the inner and outer shafts being alternately disengaged and engaged so as to perform a gear shift. In the transmission unit, a dog-type clutch for synchronizing rotations of the inner shaft and the outer shaft is provided. At the time of vehicle starting, the inner and outer shafts are connected with each other, and the first and second disc clutches of both the inner and outer shafts are engaged. Such transmission unit contrives reductions in the size and weight of a twin-clutch type transmission unit.

A dog-clutch transmission system having dog-clutches is provided that can effectively lower the sound resulting from the engagement of dogs during the meshing of gears. A dog-clutch transmission system includes first gears installed adjacent to each other on respective shafts so as not to be rotatable relatively to the respective shafts and to be axially slidable; and second gears installed so as to be rotatable relatively to the respective shafts and not to be axially slidable. Each of the first gears has dog-teeth projecting in the axial direction and each of the other gears has dog-holes recessed in the axial direction. Speed-stages are switchable by bringing the dog-teeth and the dog-holes into engagement and disengagement. A speed-change ratio proportion of a change-speed ratio at an arbitrary n-speed speed-stage to a speed-change ratio at a (n+1)-speed speed-stage is set at 0.725 or more.

Hydraulic clutch device

A hydraulic clutch for preventing a drag of a clutch at the time of disengaging the clutch by decreasing an oil supply quantity between a plurality of clutch plates and a plurality of clutch discs thus decreasing a change hitting sound at the time of shifting. A hydraulic clutch is configured such that the superposition between an oil supply hole formed in a clutch pressure plate and an oil supply hole formed in a clutch center becomes maximum when the clutch is engaged.

A fuel cell two-wheel vehicle is provided with: a fuel cell, fuel tanks, a supercharger, a pipe line, an in-wheel motor, and a motor driver. The fuel cell generates electric power using hydrogen and air as reaction sources. The fuel tanks supply hydrogen to the fuel cell through a hydrogen supply path. The supercharger supplies air from the outside air to the fuel cell. Through the pipe line, an exhaust from the fuel cell is discharged to the outside. The in-wheel motor serves as a driving source of the fuel cell two-wheel vehicle, and the motor driver drives the in-wheel motor. In an air system, a route and an outlet of the pipe line are arranged to be directed toward the motor driver. Thus, a heat sink is exposed to the discharged air having passed through the fuel cell, and thereby the motor driver is cooled.

Cooling apparatus of fuel cell vehicle

Oil pressure detecting meansdetects a clutch oil pressure in driving a clutch in its engaging direction against a biasing force of a return springfor normally disengaging the clutch. Stroke end detecting meansdetects that the clutch has reached a stroke end position where clutch disks are in contact with each other when the amount of change in clutch oil pressure becomes larger than a predetermined value. Clutch control correction amount calculating meanscalculates a work load generated in the return springaccording to the clutch oil pressure detected at the stroke end position and then calculates a control correction amount for the clutch according to the difference between the work load calculated above and a predetermined reference value.

A twin clutch apparatus includes a first clutch, a second clutch, and a clutch outer member shared by the first and second clutches. The clutch outer member has groove portions formed therein having a width that gradually increases towards an open-end side of the clutch outer member. A width of each protruding portion formed in friction plates of the second clutch disposed towards the open-end side of the clutch outer member is greater than a width of each protruding portion formed in friction plates of the first clutch disposed towards a closed-end side of the clutch outer member. The twin clutch apparatus, during operation thereof, is operable to control a clearance between groove portions of the clutch outer member and protruding portions of friction plates within a desirable range, to reduce force and sound produced by an impact between the clutch outer member and the friction plates.

A clutch actuation mechanism having a plurality of friction plates engaged with a clutch outer and a clutch inner in a relatively non-rotatable manner and arranged alternately between a bearing plate portion and a pressing plate portion. A clutch disengage/engage control mechanism for switching disengagement/engagement of the clutch actuation mechanism. A clutch piston having opposite sides facing toward a control hydraulic chamber and a hydraulic canceler chamber. A division wall member forming the hydraulic canceler chamber between the division wall member and the clutch piston for forming an oil passage, which introduces lubricating oil toward the friction plates, in cooperation with the clutch inner. A control hydraulic chamber, hydraulic canceler chamber, and division wall member are arranged within a range corresponding to the space between the outer surfaces of a bearing plate portion and pressing plate portion and radially inward of a clutch actuation mechanism.

A hydrogen fill inlet structure for a fuel cell vehicle includes a hydrogen cylinder for filling hydrogen gas from a hydrogen fill inlet. A fuel cell is provided for generating electrical power utilizing hydrogen gas supplied from the hydrogen cylinder. A motor is provided for generating propulsive power for supply to a drive wheel based on electrical power generated from the fuel cell. The hydrogen fill inlet is separate from a source port of the hydrogen cylinder, and is installed in the vicinity of the source port. The hydrogen fill inlet structure may be installed within the diameter of the hydrogen cylinder as viewed axially along the tank. In addition, a cover member is provided for covering the hydrogen cylinder. A lid is installed on a section in proximity to the source port and hydrogen fill inlet of the cover member.

Hydrogen fill inlet structure for fuel cell vehicle

An exhaust structure for a fuel cell vehicle includes a fuel cell for generating electrical power by inducing a reaction between hydrogen and oxygen and, a motor to generate motive power for supply to the rear wheel functioning as the drive wheel based on the electrical power generated by the fuel cell and, an exhaust pipe to convey byproducts in the fuel cell power generation process and, an exhaust port formed on the exhaust pipe opening towards the outer side of the vehicle frame, wherein the exhaust port is positioned more to the rear with respect to the front end of the rear wheel, and more specifically is formed further to the rear with respect to the rear wheel drive shaft. The exhaust structure so configured for fuel cell vehicles is capable of preventing byproducts from the fuel cell from reaching the drive wheel, even when struck by the wind, or when changing the turn radius.

Exhaust structure for fuel cell vehicles

An arrangement of intake and exhaust system components in a fuel cell powered vehicle makes it easier to install those components on a vehicle body. The arrangement also improves power generating efficiency, and eases maintenance. The arrangement, which includes a fuel cell, intake system components such as an air cleaner, compressor, intercooler, and humidifier, and exhaust system components including an exhaust pipe which exhausts emission gas from the fuel cell through an exhaust port, is such that the intake system components and the exhaust system components are both located on one side of the fuel cell, for example behind the fuel cell. The air cleaner, compressor, intercooler, humidifier and fuel cell may be substantially linearly sequentially arranged, to reduce air flow resistance. The pipes between the air cleaner and the compressor, and between the intercooler and the humidifier are short.

Arrangement of intake and exhaust system components in a fuel cell powered vehicle

A fuel cell electric vehicle that can secure a sufficient stroke of a rocked driving wheel, lowering the center of the gravity of the vehicle. A fuel cell is provided for generating electric power by reacting hydrogen and oxygen with a hydrogen cylinder for supplying gaseous hydrogen to the fuel cell and a motor for generating motive power supplied to a rear wheel which is a driving wheel based upon electric power generated by the fuel cell. The hydrogen cylinder is arranged above the rear wheel so that its longitudinal direction is along a longitudinal direction of the vehicle with an axis in the longitudinal direction of the hydrogen cylinder being located off a center line in a direction of the width of the rear wheel.

Fuel cell electric vehicle

To provide a drainage structure for a fuel cell electric vehicle wherein gas exhausted from a fuel cell is exhausted into the air via a muffler and generated water from the fuel cell can be moderately exhausted. In a drainage structure is provided for a fuel cell electric vehicle that includes a fuel cell for generating electric power by reacting hydrogen and oxygen, a hydrogen cylinder for supplying gaseous hydrogen to the fuel cell, a dilution box for storing gas exhausted from the fuel cell and generated water, a drainage pipe for directing water to the dilution box and a scupper provided on the drainage pipe and open toward the side of the body. A control valve that is opened or closed at predetermined times is arranged in connection with the drainage pipe.
