A connectoris provided with a housingand a rubber plugto be mounted into the housing. The rubber plugincludes a plurality of rubber plug members (e.g. a first rubber plug memberA, a second rubber plug memberB and a third rubber plug memberC) configured separately from each other and arranged side by side in a front-rear direction and a sealing holepenetrating through the plurality of rubber plug members in the front-rear direction. An inner peripheral surface of the sealing holeincludes at least one lip (e.g. a first lip, a second lip) projecting inward. The number of the lips formed in each of the rubber plug members is at most 1.

Connector

Provided are a dummy plug and a dummy plug structure that can be automatically corrected to a proper orientation. A dummy plug (10) includes a rectangular fitting portion (12) extending in a front-rear direction. The rectangular fitting portion (12) includes four corner portions (15), at diagonal positions around an axis thereof extending in the front-rear direction. The four corner portions (15) respectively include chamfered portions (17) that spread outward away from one another while extending rearward, and whose width in a direction around the axis decreases rearward. The chamfered portions (17) respectively include ridge line portions (18) that extend in the front-rear direction and protrude outward. The ridge line portions (18) are inclined further in one direction around the axis while extending rearward.

Electrical connector housing

A terminal fitting is provided with a tubular connecting portion and a deflectable and deformable resilient contact portion arranged in the connecting portion. The connecting portion includes a bead extending in a front-rear direction and projecting inward toward a contact point of the resilient contact portion on a base wall portion facing the contact point. An outer surface of the base wall portion includes recesses recessed inwardly in both front and rear end parts of the bead, and a shorting terminal facing portion located outwardly of bottoms of the recesses between the both front and rear end parts of the bead.

Terminal fitting and connector

A connectorincludes a connector bodyand a lever. The connector bodyincludes a guide portion. The leverincludes a guide receiving portion. The leveris rotatable about a rotary shaftwith respect to the connector bodyto a guide start position where guide by the guide portionis started and a guide end position where the guide by the guide portionis ended. At least one of the guide portionand the guide receiving portionarcuately extends with the rotary shaftas a center. The guide receiving portioncontacts the guide portionwith a larger contact pressure when the leveris at the guide end position than when the leveris at the guide start position.

It is aimed to detect whether or not a shorting terminal fitting is properly mounted. A female connector (F) is provided with a terminal mounting portion () formed in a female housing (), a shorting terminal fitting () mounted in the terminal mounting portion (), a lock arm () formed in the female housing () and resiliently displaceable toward the terminal mounting portion () due to interference with a male housing () in an incompletely connected state, and assembly detecting portions () for detecting an improperly assembled state of the shorting terminal fitting () by interfering with the shorting terminal fitting () in a connection process of the female housing () and the male housing () when the shorting terminal fitting () is improperly mounted in the terminal mounting portion ().

A terminal fitting () includes a stabilizer () arranged on a first surface of a body () and configured to enter a guide groove () if the terminal fitting is in a proper insertion posture while restricting insertion by contacting a contact surface (B) if the terminal fitting () is in an inverted insertion posture opposite to the proper insertion posture. The terminal fitting () includes a rattling preventing protrusion () arranged on a second surface of the body () opposite to the first surface and at a position overlapping the stabilizer () in a front-rear direction and capable of contacting facing upper wall surfaces () of a cavity () with the terminal fitting held in the inverted insertion posture and the stabilizer () held in contact with the contact surface (B).

A connector includes a housing () formed with a terminal accommodation chamber (), a terminal fitting () to be inserted into the terminal accommodation chamber () from behind the housing (), a locking lance () disposed to face the terminal accommodation chamber (), cantilevered forward and resiliently displaceable in a direction away from the terminal accommodation chamber () and in a direction to enter the terminal accommodation chamber (), and a recess () formed in an area on a side of the locking lance () opposite to the terminal accommodation chamber ().

A connector includes a housing () having a flange () provided on an outer periphery, a grommet () in the form of a resilient tube and to be externally fit on the flange (), and a slide lever () including an operating portion () and slide cams () projecting from the operating portion (), supported in the housing () and configured to proceed with connection of the housing () and the mating housing () by the slide cams () sliding in the housing () due to the pushing of the operating portion (). The flange () includes recessed cuts () at outer peripheral locations proximate to the operating portion () when the pushing of the operating portion () is completed. The grommet () includes parts to be fit into the cuts ().

A connector includes a housing () having a flange () provided on an outer periphery and a lock arm () having an unlocking portion () and provided near the flange (), and a grommet () in the form of a resilient tube and to be externally fit on the flange (). The grommet () includes a cover () for covering the unlocking portion (). The lock arm () is deflected and deformed in an unlocking direction by the unlocking portion () being pressed via the cover (). The cover () includes an operating recess () shaped to bulge toward the unlocking portion () and be concave when viewed from a pressing operation side. The unlocking portion () includes an inclined surface () for converting a pressing force applied in a depth direction of the operating recess () into a force in the unlocking direction during an unlocking operation.

A connector () is provided with a waiting side housing () including a forwardly open receptacle () and is mounted in a mounting hole (H) of a panel (P). A fit-in side housing () includes a terminal accommodating portion () that can fit into the receptacle (). Drainage ports () are formed in a lower wall () of the receptacle (), and water guides () project into opening areas of the drainage ports () only from parts of opening edges of the drainage ports (). Upper surfaces of the water guides () define water guiding surfaces () connected to an upper surface (S) of the lower wall ().

Retainers () are exposed on an outer surface of the sub-housing () and are displaceable between a locking state for retaining terminal fittings () inserted into a sub-housing () and a separated state for allowing the terminal fittings () to be withdrawn from the sub-housing (). A frame () is formed with a holding portion () configured to hold the sub-housing () by being locked to the outer surface of the sub-housing () and openings () expose the retainers () with the sub-housing () held in the holding portion ().

A slide lever () provided on a fit-in side housing (F) includes cam functioning portions () configured to enter the receptacle () in the process of connecting the waiting side housing (M) and the fit-in side housing (F), and the cam functioning portions () are formed with cam grooves () to be engaged with cam followers () in the process of connecting the two housings (F, M). An operating portion () projects substantially parallel to a moving direction of the slide lever () from rear end parts of the cam functioning portions () in an entering direction into the receptacle () and is arranged forwardly of a front face (S) of the panel (P).

A waiting side housing (M) includes resilient locking pieces () and resilient contact pieces (). Locks () of the resilient locking pieces () restrict a displacement of the waiting side housing (M) toward a complete holding position by being locked to a mounting hole (H) and are separated from the mounting hole (H) only by resilient deformation of the resilient locking pieces (). Contact portions () of the resilient contact pieces () are in contact with the mounting hole (H) with the waiting side housing (M) located at a temporary holding position. If tapered surfaces () of the contact portions () are pressed by an edge part of the mounting hole (H), the resilient contact pieces () are resiliently deformed to separate the contact portions () from the mounting hole (H).
