A shock absorber includes a cylinder housing including a piston chamber in which oily liquid is disposed, a piston movable in the piston chamber, a rod connected to the piston and protruding out from the cylinder housing, and a return mechanism for the rod. In the shock absorber, a cylindrical bearing made of a synthetic resin having a shock-absorbing property, a dust collecting member for avoiding entry of dust particles, and a lubricating member for supplying a lubricating oil to a surface of the rod are disposed in a rod guiding hole in the cylinder housing. A leading end of the bearing protrudes outside with respect to an outer end surface of the cylinder housing and acts as a contact portion that allows a moving object to come into contact therewith, and thus the bearing functions to guide the rod and also functions as a stopper for avoiding the moving object from coming into contact with the outer end surface of the cylinder housing.

Low-dust/dust-resistant shock absorber

A bidirectional shock absorber includes a cylinder housing including a liquid chamber, a shock-absorbing mechanism located inside the liquid chamber and supported by a rod sticking out of the cylinder housing. The shock-absorbing mechanism includes a pair of pistons located in the liquid chamber and attached to the rod on the respective sides of a liquid storage chamber constituting an accumulator, resistance paths formed between an outer circumferential surface of the pistons and an inner circumferential surface of a piston chamber, to apply flow resistance to the liquid, and unidirectional flow paths formed along the respective pistons and configured to block the liquid flow toward the liquid storage chamber when the corresponding piston is pressed toward the piston chamber, but to permit the liquid to flow in the opposite direction.

Bi-directional shock absorbing device

A hydraulic shock absorber that can reduce outflow amount of oil by maximally removing an oil film attached to an outer periphery of a rod and that can achieve securement of high slidability between the rod and a rod packing and prevention of wear of the rod packing. A rod packing interposed between an outer periphery of a rod and an inner periphery of a rod-side end wall includes a first lip for scrapping off an oil film attached to the outer periphery of the rod, and a ring-shaped grease holding member for supplying holding grease to the outer periphery of the rod. The grease holding member is in contact with the outer periphery of the rod at a position closer to a rod distal end than the first lip.

Belt guide members guide an upper belt and a lower belt for closing a slit of a cylinder tube. Belt holder sections for the upper belt and belt separators for separating the upper belt and the lower belt from each other are integrally formed in the belt guide members. Bearings for positioning a slider are disposed to engage with the belt guide members.

Belt guide mechanism

First and second adjusting screws are screwed into screw holes of an end plate respectively. An upper belt is interposed between the second adjusting screw and a fixing member. Either one or both of the first adjusting screw and the second adjusting screw are rotated to move the fixed height position of the upper belt under the swinging action about the support point on a lower circular arc-shaped section of the fixing member.

A piston packing has a mounting surface and a seal surface. The seal surface and the mounting surface are fitted with a head and an annular groove portion, respectively, of a piston.

Mounting structure for piston packing

A cylinder tube which is a main part of a rodless cylinder is mounted with stopper members through end plates. The stopper members are provided with adjuster bolts to restrict the moving range of a slide table and shock absorbers to buffer impact given when the slide table collides with the adjuster bolts. The stopper members have inner ports provided at the end plates and outer ports in communication with the inner ports.

Rodless cylinder

In a cylinder tube of a rodless cylinder, a bore having an approximately rhombic cross section is formed. The approximately rhombic cross section of the bore has a thickness smaller than a width. There is a fluid bypass passage for centralized piping in the vicinity of the bottom of both sides of the bore in the cylinder tube. In addition, in the vicinity of both sides of the bore at the upper and lower surfaces of the cylinder tube, there are thinned portions.

A rodless cylinder comprises a cylinder tube having, at its inside, a piston which is movable back and forth in a longitudinal direction; fluid bypass passages defined at the inside of the cylinder tube to extend in the longitudinal direction; and a pair of head covers installed to ends of the cylinder tube. The head cover has a side surface provided with at least one fluid pressure inlet/outlet port, in and an end surface provided with at least two fluid pressure inlet/outlet port. Further, the head cover is provided with at least four or more fluid pressure inlet/outlet ports.

A seal member includes a first seal portion inscribed on the outer circumferential surface of a small projection in an end cover, a second seal portion circumscribed around the inner surface of a cylinder tube, and a size expanded portion continuing from said second seal portion.

Seal structure for rodless cylinder

An end-closing structure for a rodless cylinder comprises an end cap and a sleeve. The end cap is fitted and inserted into a bore of a cylinder tube. Further, the sleeve is fitted and inserted into a through hole of the end cap through a hole of the cylinder tube. By means of inserting a spring pin into a hole through a hole, the bore is closed such that ends of the end cap and the cylinder tube are positioned substantially in the same plane surface.
