A power tool includes a main body and a battery pack. The main body includes a housing and a motor, a switch assembly, and an electronic control device. The electronic control device is electrically connected to the switch assembly and the motor. The electronic control device includes an electronic control assembly, a mounting base, and a connecting assembly. The electronic control assembly includes a power circuit board. The power circuit board is provided with an opening. The connecting assembly conductively connects the battery pack to the electronic control assembly, connects to the mounting base via the opening, and mates with the mounting base to form a mounting space in which the electronic control assembly is mounted.

The commutation detection device is connected to the motor and used for obtaining commutation information of the motor. The power-off protection module is electrically connected to the coil and to the energy storage component and is configured to cut off an electrical connection between the coil and the energy storage in response to the power tool and the battery pack being electrically disconnected.

A control circuit for a motor has a driving state and a braking state and includes a driving branch and a braking branch. The driving branch includes a branch formed by a stator winding and a rotor. The braking branch includes a branch formed by the stator winding, a braking switch, and an electrical energy storage component. The electrical energy storage component is configured to provide an electrical energy to the braking branch. When the motor is in the braking state, if the braking branch is detected as short-circuited, the connection between the stator winding and the rotor of the driving branch is turned on. When the windings are short circuited or reverse connected for a time which reaches a preset value, the output shaft brake circuit produces the magnetic field to slow down the output shaft.

A battery pack cooling and charging device includes a charging module for a battery pack, a cooling fan, a power source module and a cooling fan control module. The cooling fan control module is capable of controlling the cooling fan for cooling and is connected with the cooling fan. During the charging operation, a rotational speed of the cooling fan for cooling the battery pack and a charging module is changed by detecting parameters such as fan operation time, a battery pack internal resistance, a charging module temperature, and a battery pack voltage. The rotational speed of the cooling fan is reasonably adjusted, thus noise of the cooling fan is reduced and energy consumption is reduced according to different phases of the charging process by regarding one parameter or combinations of parameters as conditions for changing the rotational speed of the fan.

A charging assembly and a charging control method are provided for charging a battery pack according to an actual voltage of a battery in a battery pack. The charging assembly includes a battery pack having a battery with a rated charging current, a charger having a charging module for outputting an output voltage and an output current, and a charging circuit between the charging module and the battery. A method of operation includes: detecting the output current and the output voltage; calculating an actual voltage value on the battery; and determining whether to decrease or keep the output current or increase the output current of the charging module.

The present application provides a charging system having a charger and a battery. The charging system provides a quick-charging mode and a normal-charging mode. The quick-charging mode may be activated to charge the battery if certain conditions are met and the charging system may also have an indicating device for indicating when the quick-charging mode is finished. More specifically, the charger of the present application provides selective charging modes and provides an ultra-quick charging solution which may be controlled by the changes in the temperature of the battery and which can increase the charging power to quickly provide enough energy to finish a work task.
