Providing a super-high pressure lamp having increased pressure resistance. The super-high pressure lamp includes: an arc tube; and a sealing portion in which a front end of an exhaust pipe capable of exhausting gas in the arc tube or supplying gas into the arc tube is sealed, wherein, in the sealing portion, a height of a first sealed space, which has a tapered shape that becomes narrower toward a front end of the sealing portion, is larger than twice an inner diameter of the first sealed space.

Super-high pressure lamp

Provided is a new light source device using an excimer lamp, particularly, a light source device for sterilization and deodorization. The light source device includes an excimer lamp and a flyback-type lighting device that supplies power to the excimer lamp. The lighting device includes a transformer, a switching element, and a control circuit that supplies a drive signal to the switching element. The control circuit controls the switching element on and off so that the switching frequency (FS) for the switching element at the time of starting to light is lower than the switching frequency (FO) at the time of steady-state lighting, and the ON-duty (TS) for the switching element at the time of starting to light is lower than the ON-duty (TO) at the time of steady-state lighting.

Light source device, and sterilizing/deodorizing device

Provided is an excimer lamp light source device that achieves low cost and avoids the occurrence of narrowly-defined contracted discharge by adopting a lamp bulb having a simple structure and of the type in which a discharge current is passed in a tube axis direction. The excimer lamp light source device includes: an excimer lamp that has a pair of external electrodes configured to induce an electric discharge in a discharge space of a lamp bulb and to cause a discharge current to flow in a tube axis direction of the lamp bulb, and that generates UV light in the discharge space by the discharge; and an inverter having a transformer equipped with a secondary winding to which the external electrodes are connected in order to apply a high-voltage alternating current to the excimer lamp, the inverter supplying power lower than power that causes a linear discharge.

Excimer lamp light source device

A laser driven lamp includes a metallic main body having a columnar shape. The lamp also includes an ellipsoidal reflecting surface formed in the main body such that the ellipsoidal reflecting surface has a focal point at which the laser beam converges. The lamp also includes a light exit window in front of the ellipsoidal reflecting surface. The light exit window transmits ultraviolet light. The lamp also includes a laser beam passing hole formed at a predetermined position of the main body such that this hole penetrates the main body in an optical axial direction of the lamp. The lamp also includes a light entrance window behind the laser light passing hole such that the laser beam is incident to the light entrance window. The main body, the light exit window and the light entrance window form a closed space to contain a light emitting gas.

Laser driven lamp

The laser driven lamp comprising: a main body having a columnar shape; a concave reflecting portion formed at a front side of the main body, the concave reflecting portion having a focal point at which the laser beam converges; a light exit window provided in front of the concave reflecting portion; a laser beam passing hole formed at a center of the main body, the laser beam passing hole penetrating the main body in an optical axial direction of the lamp; and a light entrance window provided at a rear side of the main body, the laser beam being incident to the light entrance window, the main body, the light exit window and the light entrance window constituting in combination a closed space, and the light emitting gas being enclosed in the closed space.

Provided is an excimer lamp having a simple and small structure, which can be used in, for example, a refrigerator, and can emit ultraviolet light at a wavelength effective in disinfection processing without generating ozone in a surrounding atmosphere, without leaving gas impurities and moisture in an electrical discharge vessel, and without causing a steep illuminance decrease. A fluorescent substance is disposed on an inner face of the electrical discharge vessel for converting ultraviolet light emitted upon excimer electrical discharge of a light emitting gas to ultraviolet light having a longer wavelength. An inner electrode has a coil shape. A tight winding portion is formed at a certain area of the interior electrode which extends in the center axial direction of the interior electrode such that the coil is tightly wound in the tight winding portion. A getter is attached to the tight winding portion.

Excimer lamp

A first excimer lamp includes: a quartz glass-made light-emitting tube containing an excimer emission gas sealed therein; and a pair of electrodes for generating dielectric barrier discharge. One of the pair of electrodes is disposed in the inner space of the light-emitting tube so as to extend in the direction of a tube axis of the light-emitting tube, and the other one of the pair of electrodes is embedded in the tube wall of the light-emitting tube so as to extend in the direction of the tube axis of the light-emitting tube. The one electrode is electrically connected to a conductive foil hermetically embedded in an end portion of the light-emitting tube.
