Disclosed is a lithographic printing plate allowing for high running performance of the developer, wide water window and high printing durability. The lithographic printing plate precursor comprises a photosensitive layer on a support, wherein the photosensitive layer comprises (A) a polymerizable compound, (B) a polymerization initiator, (C) a polyvinyl acetal binder containing at least one kind of repeat units represented by general formula (I-c), general formula (I-b) and general formula (I-a), and (D) an acrylic resin binder. 

Lithographic printing plate precursors and processes for preparing lithographic printing plates

A lithographic printing plate precursor having excellent printing durability, staining resistance and developability as well as processes for preparing lithographic printing plates therefrom. The lithographic printing plate precursor may comprise a primer layer and an image-recording layer in this order in a substrate, wherein the primer layer comprises a polymer containing a repeat unit having a carbon-carbon backbone, a &#x2014;C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014; group directly attached thereto, a &#x2014;C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014;NR&#x2014; group, a carboxyl group or a salt thereof, and an ethylenically unsaturated bond.

A lithographic printing plate precursor includes a support and one or more layers, one of the one or more layers is a photosensitive layer containing an initiator compound, a polymerizable compound and a binder polymer, and a layer being in contact with the support of the one or more layers contains a copolymer containing a repeating unit having a zwitterionic structure and a repeating unit having a structure capable of interacting with a surface of the support.

Lithographic printing plate precursor and method of preparing lithographic printing plate

Lithographic printing plates and processes for preparing the lithographic printing plates are provided. The plates have excellent printing durability, staining resistance and staining resistance over time. The lithographic printing plate precursor includes: a substrate; a photosensitive layer provided on the substrate; and an extra layer optionally provided between the substrate and the photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer or the extra layer adjacent to the substrate contains (A) a copolymer. The copolymer (A) includes: (a1) a repeating unit of formula (a1-1) below in a side chain, and (a2) a repeating unit having at least one of the structures represented by formulae (a2-1) to (a2-6) shown in the specification in a side chain. L, Z, R, and R, Rand Rin formula (a1-1) and the variables in formulae (a2-1) to (a2-6) are as defined in the specification. 

The invention is directed to a compound represented by the Formula (1) as defined herein, and a method for preparing a compound represented by the Formula (1) which includes: reacting a diamine compound represented by the Formula (2) as defined herein with a methacrylic anhydride or an acrylic anhydride under a condition where an organic acid having a pKa of 2.0 or more is present in an amount of 0.5 to 5.0 moles based on 1 mole of the diamine compound to obtain a reaction mixture; adding phosphoric acid to the reaction mixture; and purifying the reaction mixture by extraction with an organic solvent.
