A process for producing ethylene glycol includes contacting an oxalate with a fluidized bed catalyst under the following conditions: a reaction temperature of from about 170 to about 270&#xb0; C., a weight space velocity of oxalate of from about 0.2 to about 7 hours, a hydrogen/ester molar ratio of about 20&#x2dc;200:1, a reaction pressure of from about 1.5 to about 10 MPa, and a reaction temperature differenceT of from about 1 to about 15&#xb0; C. The fluidized bed catalyst includes: a) from about 5 to about 80 parts by weight of copper and the oxide thereof, b) from about 10 to about 90 parts by weight of at least one carrier selected from silica, molecular sieve or alumina, c) from about 0.01 to about 30 parts by weight of bismuth and tungsten metallic elements or the oxides thereof, or cerium and niobium metallic elements or the oxides thereof.

Method for producing ethylene glycol from oxalate through the fluidized bed catalytic reaction

The present invention discloses a process for the selective hydrogenation of phenylacetylene in the presence of styrene, comprising contacting a phenylacetylene and styrene-containing hydrocarbon fraction feedstock with a carbon-containing catalyst under hydrogenation reaction conditions, wherein the carbon-containing catalyst has a carbon content of from 0.02 to 8 wt % based on the weight of the catalyst.

Method for selective hydrogenation of phenylacetylene in the presence of styrene

A method for improving the quality of ethylene glycol products, which mainly solves the technical problem of low UV-light transmittance of the ethylene glycol products present in the prior art. The method successfully solves the problem by use of the technical solution wherein the ethylene glycol raw material and hydrogen are passed through a rotating packed bed reactor loaded with solid oxide catalyst at a temperature of about 20 to about 280&#xb0; C., a pressure of about 0.1 to about 4.0 MPa, a space velocity of about 0.2 to about 100.0 hrand a molar ratio of hydrogen to ethylene glycol of from about 0.01 to 40:1, and ethylene glycol is obtained after the reaction. The solid oxide catalyst is at least one of copper-based, nickel-based and palladium-based catalysts, and the rotation rate of the rotating packed bed reactor is about 300 to about 5000 rpm.

The present invention relates to a method for the production of ethylene glycol using a feedstock comprising an oxalate and a catalyst containing copper and/or a copper oxide, comprising contacting the feedstock with the catalyst in a reactor under the conditions of a temperature in the range from about 170 to about 270&#xb0; C., a weight hourly space velocity of the oxalate in the range from about 0.2 to about 5 h, a molar ratio of hydrogen to the oxalate in the range from about 40:1 to about 200:1 and a reaction pressure in the range from about 1.5 to about 10 MPa, to produce an effluent containing ethylene glycol, in which the reactor is a tube-array reactor using partitioned heat exchange and adopting outer and inner tubes configured in a double-tube structure to facilitate the heat exchange of the catalyst.

A process of producing oxalate by CO gas phase method includes the following steps: a) introducing nitrite salt, water and an inorganic acid first into a reactor I to produce a NO containing effluent I; and separating the resultant effluent to obtain the effluent II of NO; b) introducing the effluent II of NO, a C-Calkanol and oxygen into a reactor II to be subjected to the reaction, and separating the resultant effluent to obtain the effluent IV of C-Calkyl nitrites; c) introducing the effluent IV of C-Calkyl nitrites and a CO gas stream into a coupling reactor where they are reacted to produce a NO containing effluent VI. The reactor I and/or the reactor II are preferably rotating supergravity reactors. Therefore, the process is applicable to the industrial production of oxalate by CO gas phase method.

The present invention discloses a process for the selective hydrogenation of phenylacetylene in the presence of styrene conducted in a combined bed, which process comprises under hydrogenation reaction conditions, passing a hydrocarbon fraction feedstock containing phenylacetylene and styrene through a combined bed reactor containing a catalyst A and a catalyst B to contact the feedstock with the catalyst A and the catalyst B in turn, wherein the catalyst A is a nickel-based catalyst, the catalyst B is at least one selected from the group consisting of palladium-based catalysts and copper-based catalysts, and a weight ratio of the catalyst A loaded to the catalyst B loaded is from 0.5:1 to 5:1.

Method for selective hydrogenation of phenylacetylene using composite bed in the presence of styrene

The present invention relates to a process of producing oxalate by CO gas phase method for chiefly solving the technical problem of the low utilization efficiency of nitrogen oxides or nitrous acid esters in the prior art. The present invention solves the problem in a better way by using the following steps including: a gas phase stream V containing NO and methanol and oxygen enter a supergravity rotating bed reactor II and are subjected to the oxidative esterification reaction to produce an effluent VI containing methyl nitrite; a methyl nitrite effluent VII obtained from separating said effluent VI together with a CO gas II enter a coupling reactor II and is contacted with a catalyst II to react to form a dimethyl oxalate effluent VIII and a gas phase effluent IX containing NO; the resultant dimethyl oxalate effluent VIII is separated to obtain a dimethyl oxalate product I; optionally, the gas phase effluent IX containing NO is returned to the step above so as to be mixed with the gas phase stream V containing NO for being recycled. Therefore, the process is applicable to the industrial production of oxalate by CO gas phase method.

A process for producing light olefins from methanol and/or dimethyl ether is disclosed. Process for selective oxidative dehydrogenation of a hydrogen-containing CO mixed gas

A process of producing C-Calkyl nitrite, comprising the following steps: a) firstly feeding nitrogen oxide and oxygen into Reactor I, contacting with an aluminosilicate catalyst, and reacting to produce an effluent I containing NOand unreacted NO; b) feeding the effluent I and C-Calkanol into Reactor II, and reacting to produce an effluent II containing C-Calkyl nitrite; and c) separating the effluent II containing C-Calkyl nitrite to obtain C-Calkyl nitrite; wherein reactor I is a fixed bed reactor, and Reactor II is a rotating high-gravity reactor; said nitrogen oxide in step a) is NO, or a mixed gas containing NO and one or more of NOand NO, wherein the molar number of NO is greater than that of NO, if any; and the molar ratio of NO in nitrogen oxide to oxygen is 4-25:1.

Process for producing C1-C4 alkyl nitrite

Provided are processes for producing an oxalate by coupling of CO in the presence of a nitrite, wherein two or more reaction zones in series are used, and at least a portion of the oxalate as reaction product is separated between the reaction zones, and/or the nitrite is fed stagewise. The processes described herein can effectively enhance the selectivity to the oxalate and the single-pass conversion of the feedstock.

Provided are processes for producing ethylene glycol from oxalate(s), wherein two or more reaction zones in series are used, and oxalate feedstock is fed stagewise, or hydrogen feedstock and optionally a solvent are fed stagewise. Processes for producing ethylene glycol from oxalate(s)

A process for producing lower olefins is disclosed. The technical problem is to overcome the defects presented in the prior art including high reaction pressure, high reaction temperature, low yield and selectivity of lower olefins as the target products, poor stability and short life of catalyst, and limited suitable feedstocks. The disclosed process, which is carried out under the conditions of catalytic cracking olefins and adopts as a feedstock an olefins-enriched mixture containing one or more C4 or higher olefins and optionally an organic oxygenate compound, comprises the steps of: a) letting the feedstock contact with a crystalline aluminosilicate catalyst having a SiO/AlOmolar ratio of at least 10, to thereby produce a reaction effluent containing lower olefins; and b) separating lower olefins from the reaction effluent; wherein, the reaction pressure is from &#x2212;0.1 MPa to &#x3c;0 MPa.

Process for producing lower olefins under negative pressure

The present invention provides a process for producing lower olefins by catalytic cracking a feedstock comprising an olefins-enriched mixture containing C4 or higher olefins and optionally an organic oxygenate compound. The technical problem mainly addressed in the present invention is to overcome the defects presented in the prior art including low yield and selectivity of lower olefins as the target products, and short regeneration period of catalyst. The present process, which is carried out under the conditions of catalytic cracking olefins and adopts as a feedstock an olefins-enriched mixture containing one or more C4 or higher olefins and optionally an organic oxygenate compound, comprises the steps of: a) letting the feedstock firstly enter a first reaction zone to contact with a first crystalline aluminosilicate catalyst having a SiO/AlOmolar ratio of at least 10, to thereby produce a first reaction effluent containing lower olefins; b) letting the first reaction effluent enter in turn at least one second reaction zone to contact with a second crystalline aluminosilicate catalyst having a SiO/AlOmolar ratio of at least 10, to thereby produce a second reaction effluent containing lower olefins; and c) separating lower olefins from the second reaction effluent; wherein the reaction temperatures in the first and second reaction zones are controlled. The present process, which desirably solves the above technical problem, can be used in industrial production of lower olefins.
