A sensing device () for a high voltage disconnecting switch (). The sensing device () comprises: a first optical fiber () configured to receive light from an optical source () and configured to guide the light; an optical collimator () coupled to the first optical fiber () to receive the light guided in the first optical fiber () and configured to collimate the light into a collimated light beam; a bendable optical component () coupled to the optical collimator () to receive the collimated light beam and configured to guide the collimated light beam, wherein the bendable optical component () is configured and arranged to bend depending on a switching state of the high voltage disconnecting switch (), thereby influencing the collimated light beam; and a deriving unit () configured to derive information about the switching state of the high voltage disconnecting switch () based on the collimated light beam.

Sensing device

An optical fiber connector is provided. The optical fiber connector comprises a plastic housing. The optical fiber connector comprises a metallic clip. The plastic housing is adapted to connect the optical fiber connector to an optical fiber adapter. The metallic clip is arranged at a side of the plastic housing. The metallic clip extends from the plastic housing. The metallic clip is adapted to press against a metallic part of the optical fiber adapter.

Groundable fiber connector

We generally describe an optical transceiver connector () comprising: a first portion () comprising a first port () configured to releasably receive an optical connector (); and a second portion () comprising a second port () configured to releasably receive an optical converter element (), wherein an opening of the first port () faces towards a first direction opposite to a second direction towards which an opening of the second port () faces, and wherein the first port () is aligned with the second port () for establishing a releasable, light-coupling-capable connection between a said optical connector () to be received by the first port () and a said optical converter element () to be received by the second port ().
