A rectifier circuit and a dimmer circuit are provided, comprising: an isolating driver circuit, a switching control circuit, a before-bridge damper circuit, and a rectifier bridge. The isolating driver circuit is connected to the before-bridge damper circuit via the switching control circuit, two ends of the switching control circuit are connected to two input ends of the rectifier bridge, respectively, and two ends of the before-bridge damper circuit are connected to the two input ends of the rectifier bridge, respectively. In the disclosed rectifier circuit and damper circuit, the isolating driver circuit receives the after-bridge control signal after the rectifier bridge, the switching control circuit controls connection or disconnection of the before-bridge damper circuit to the rectifier circuit based on the after-bridge control signal. Accordingly, the before-bridge damper circuit may be adjusted based on the after-bridge control signal, and flexibility in controlling and adjusting the rectifier bridge circuit is improved.

Rectifier circuit and dimmer circuit

LED device protection circuits and protection methods are provided. An exemplary LED device protection circuit includes a first comparator, a protection-signal generating circuit, a sampling-voltage acquisition circuit, and a first reference-voltage acquisition circuit. The first comparator is connected with the sampling-voltage acquisition circuit and the first reference-voltage acquisition circuit, respectively. The first comparator is further connected with the protection-signal generating circuit. The first comparator is configured for comparing a sampling voltage outputted from the sampling-voltage acquisition circuit with a first reference voltage outputted from the first reference-voltage acquisition circuit, and outputting a pulse signal in accordance with a comparison result to the protection-signal generating circuit for generating a protection signal when the pulse signal satisfies a preset condition. The protection signal is configured for turning off an output load connected to a dimmer.

The present disclosure provides a dimmer control circuit, a dimmer control method and a lighting device. The dimmer control circuit includes: a dimming output end configured to connect to a dimmer, a load terminal configured to connect to a load, a detection-control module, and a current holding module. An input end of the detection-control module is connected to an output end of the dimmer. An output end of the detection-control module is configured to: control the current holding module to connect to the load terminal when the dimming output end is connected to a SCR-based leading-edge phase cut dimmer, and control the current holding module to disconnect from the load terminal when the dimming output end is not connected to the SCR-based leading-edge phase cut dimmer. The current holding module is configured to supply a holding current to the SCR-based leading-edge phase cut dimmer connected to the dimming output end.

Dimmer control circuit, dimmer control method and lighting device containing the same

The configurations of a compensation device configured in a circuit having a synchronous rectifier (SR), a controller and a load, and a compensation method thereof are provided in the present invention. In the proposed circuit, the SR includes a first terminal, a first inductor electrically connected to the first terminal in series, a second terminal and a second inductor electrically connected to the second terminal in series, the controller is coupled to the first and the second inductors, and the device includes a voltage source having a positive terminal coupled to the controller and a negative terminal coupled to the second inductor and providing a compensation voltage to reduce or eliminate the influence of the first and the second inductors towards a voltage value across the first and the second terminals.

Compensation device for synchronous rectifier control and method thereof

A power supply module to power the control circuit of a switching mode power supply is provided. Based on the determination of whether the switching mode power supply is under a light or open load condition, the power supply module can dynamically provide the power to the control circuit of the switching mode power supply. Therefore, the performance of the power supply can be increased and the power loss can be decreased when the switching mode power supply is under a light or open load.

The present invention discloses a power supply device with low standby loss. The power supply device comprises a main power converter and an auxiliary power converter. The main power converter comprises a bulk capacitor. The main power converter connects parallelly with the auxiliary power converter. When the power supply device is in a standby mode, the main converter is turned off and the auxiliary converter provides the output to the outputting load and the bulk capacitor. Moreover, when the power supply device is in a normal mode, the main converter and the auxiliary converter together provide the output to an outputting load. Under a normal mode, the main converter provides most of the power and the auxiliary converter operates in a power-limited finite value such that the topology of the power supply device achieves a low standby loss.

Power supply with low standby loss

A power supply device and an operating method thereof are provided. The power supply device includes a main converter and an auxiliary converter. The main converter includes a power factor corrector (PFC), a first capacitor that connects in parallel with the PFC and a DC/DC converter that connects in parallel with the first capacitor. The auxiliary converter is connected in parallel to the main converter. When the power supply device operates in a normal mode, the main converter and the auxiliary converter together provide a first output to an output load. When the power supply device is in a standby mode, the DC/DC converter is turned off so that only the auxiliary converter provides a second output to the output load. Meanwhile, the PFC is in operation to maintain the voltage of the first capacitor in order to meet the demand of the output dynamic response of the main converter.
