Provided is a battery system including a battery management module, a battery module, and a controller. The battery management module includes a main switch between an external terminal and a battery terminal, and a heating switch between the external terminal and a heating terminal. The battery module includes a cell, a heating element, and a control switch connected to the heating element. The controller is configured to detect a connection with a charger, detect a temperature of the cell, when the temperature is lower than a first value, turn off the main switch and turn on the heating switch and the control switch to supply heating power from the charger to the heating element, and when the temperature becomes higher than a second value by the heating element, turn off the heating switch and turn on the main switch to supply charging power from the charger to the cell.

A battery pack having at least one cell module that is connected between a plurality of pack terminals, the battery pack including: at least one thermoelectric element disposed at each of the at least one cell modules; a thermoelectric element power supply circuit configured to supply a driving voltage to the at least one thermoelectric element; and a controller configured to control the thermoelectric element power supply circuit to transfer a first voltage that is supplied for driving the thermoelectric element from a charger as the driving voltage for the at least one thermoelectric element when a temperature of the at least one cell module is out of a first range in a charging mode, the first voltage being different from a second voltage that is a charging voltage supplied to the battery pack from the charger.

The present disclosure provides a battery pack including: a plurality of battery cells; a protective circuit module arranged on a side of the plurality of battery cells and including at least one through-hole; an electrode tab inserted into the at least one through-hole and electrically connecting the plurality of battery cells to the protective circuit module; a temperature sensing unit arranged on the protective circuit module; and a heat transfer member connected to a portion of the electrode tab inserted into the at least one through-hole and to the temperature sensing unit and transferring heat from the electrode tab to the temperature sensing unit.

Provided is a battery pack with an improved sealing force, the battery pack including: a lower case having a space therein and having a groove portion formed to extend along a certain width of an outer top surface; an upper case arranged on the lower case; a battery unit accommodated in an internal space of the lower case and including a plurality of battery cells; and a sealing member inserted into the groove portion to be located between the upper case and the lower case, wherein a cross-sectional shape thereof has an upper surface, a lower surface, and a side surface connecting the upper surface to the lower surface, the upper surface is formed as a curved surface convexed toward the upper case, and a protrusion portion forming a step with the upper surface is located at the side surface.

A battery module is disclosed. In one aspect, the battery module includes first through third battery packs electrically connected to one another. The battery module also includes a bus pattern. The bus pattern includes i) a main body including an input/output point of a charging/discharging path and ii) first through third branching portions that branch from the main body and extend to first through third contact points of the first through third battery packs, respectively. A first distance is defined as the distance between the input/output point and the first contact point, a second distance is defined as the distance between the input/output point and the second contact point and a third distance is defined as the distance between the input/output point and the third contact point. The first distance is less than the second distance, and the second distance is less than the third distance.

Battery module

A battery pack is disclosed. The battery pack includes a battery holder, a lead terminal, a bus bar, and a pack case. The battery holder includes a cell holder accommodating a plurality of battery cells and a flange extending outwardly from the cell holder. The lead terminal includes a lead plate and a lead tab, the lead plate covering electrodes of the battery cells, and the lead tab extending from the lead plate toward the flange. The bus bar is configured to form an electrical path between the lead tab and an external terminal. The pack case includes a coupler, and the external terminal is formed on the pack case. A fastener is inserted into the bus bar, the lead tab, and the flange, and the fastener is engages with the coupler.
