Preferable optical performance is ensured to improve image quality. The present technology includes: a housing having a mount part to which at least a first accessory and a second accessory are selectively attached; and an imaging element that photoelectrically converts captured light into an electrical signal, in which the mount part is formed with a first mount surface to which the first accessory is attached, and a second mount surface to which the second accessory is attached, and the first mount surface and the second mount surface are located on the same plane. Therefore, since the first accessory and the second accessory are selectively attached to the first mount surface and the second mount surface, which are located on the same plane, it is possible to ensure preferable optical performance and improve image quality.

Imaging apparatus having two mount surfaces to mount accessories

There is provided a camera that includes a body-side mount. The body-side mount includes a first reference plane, has a first flange back distance from the first reference plane to an imaging plane, and allows an adapter to be mounted on the first reference plane. The adapter includes a second reference plane, and has a second flange back distance from the second reference plane to the imaging plane. The second flange back distance is shorter than the first flange back distance.

Camera and adapter

A camera that has an optical unit includes: a base plate; a plurality of openings which is provided on the base plate and each of which has a substantially rectangular opening shape having long sides and short sides; and a plurality of optical components each of which covers any of the plurality of openings. The plurality of openings is disposed to be cyclically placed in one optical path through rotation of the base plate, and is disposed such that a part of a long side of each opening thereof faces a part of a short side of another opening thereof adjacent thereto.
