A preparation method for a copolymer includes the step(s) of contacting an olefin and an unsaturated carboxylic acid shown in Formula II or a derivative of the unsaturated carboxylic acid shown in Formula II with a catalyst and optionally a chain transfer agent for reaction in the presence of an alkane solvent to obtain the copolymer. Olefin polymerization catalyst comprising cyclotriveratrylene and derivatives thereof

The present invention provides a preparation method of a catalyst component for olefin polymerization, comprising firstly dissolving an anhydrous magnesium halide into a mixed solvent which comprises an oxygen-containing organic titanium compound, an organic epoxy compound, a hydroxy-containing compound, and an inert solvent, and does not comprise a phosphate compound, so as to form a magnesium halide solution; then mixing the magnesium halide solution with a halogen-containing compound to precipitate a solid, so as to obtain the catalyst component, wherein the halogen-containing compound comprises at least one selected from a group consisting of halogen and titanium-containing compounds, halogenated organic hydrocarbon compounds, acyl halide compounds, halogen and phosphorus-containing compounds, halogen and boron-containing compounds, halogenated organic aluminum compounds, and halogen and silicon-containing compounds. The catalyst component prepared by the present invention has better particle morphology, and a good hydrogen response, and thus is favorable to use of the catalyst in a slurry or gas polymerization process device.

Preparation method of a catalyst component for olefin polymerization

A magnesium halide solution is disclosed. The magnesium halide solution comprises a magnesium halide, an oxygen-containing organic titanium compound, a hydroxyl-containing compound, and an organic solvent. The magnesium halide solution further comprises an organic heterocyclic compound. The organic solvent is a hydrocarbon and/or a halogenated hydrocarbon. The organic heterocyclic compound is at least one selected from a group consisting of a sulphur-containing organic heterocyclic compound, a nitrogen-containing organic heterocyclic compound, and an organic epoxy compound. The magnesium halide solution has a good stability, and can be used for preparing a catalyst for olefin polymerization and copolymerization reactions. The raw material of the magnesium halide solution is cheap and easy to be obtained. The preparing method is easy to be performed and is environment-friendly.

The present invention relates to a catalyst component for olefin polymerization, which comprises the reaction product of at least one organo-magnesium compound, at least one titanium-containing compound, at least one hydroxyl group-containing compound, at least one chlorine-containing organo-aluminum, boron, phosphorus or silicon compound, and at least one polybutadiene block copolymer. The catalyst component of the present invention has well-shaped particles, and a narrow particle size distribution; a polymerization reaction of olefins with the catalyst component produces well-shaped polymer particles with a high bulk density (BD) and an excellent comprehensive catalytic performance. The present invention provides a catalyst component for ethylene polymerization, a process for preparing the same, a catalyst comprising the same, and a process for polymerizing ethylene using the catalyst. The catalyst component comprises a reaction product, supported on an inorganic oxide support, of a magnesium complex, a titanium compound, an alcohol compound, and an organoaluminum compound, wherein said magnesium complex is formed by dissolving a magnesium halide in a solvent system comprising an organic epoxy compound and an organo phosphorus compound. The catalyst according to the invention is especially suitable for slurry phase polymerization of ethylene. The catalyst according to the present invention has high catalytic activity, and a good hydrogen response, with the resultant polymer having a more uniform particle size diameter and a narrow particle size distribution.
