Device for regenerating printed sheet-like recording medium

A device for regenerating a sheet-like recoding medium which feeds a printed sheet-like recording medium. A regenerating treatment unit eliminates a image formed on the recording medium. The recording medium is then discriminated and separated based on whether the regenerated recording medium is reusable or not and whether the regenerated recording medium is to be treated again by the regenerating treatment unit, and a storing unit stores the separated reusable recording medium. Further, a control section controls the regenerating treatment unit to treat the regenerated recording medium again when the regenerated recording medium is judged to be treated again by the regenerating treatment unit.

The present invention discloses a device for regenerating a sheet-like recording medium comprising a means for feeding a printed sheet-like recording medium, a regenerating treatment means having a step for eliminating image formed on said recording medium, a means for discriminating and separating the recording medium whether the treated recording medium is reusable or not and a means for storing the separated reusable recording medium. Further, the present invention discloses, as Examples, regenerating treatment means treating sheet-like recording media printed with following toners or inks with following degrading agent or a color eliminating agent;

A developing apparatus for image forming equipment capable of insuring images with high resolution while preserving tonality. A developing sleeve is provided with conductive portions and insulative portions on its surface by knurling. A magnetic roller is accommodated in the sleeve to constitute a developing roller. A toner supply roller is held in contact with the developing sleeve. A doctor blade is disposed above and spaced apart by a predetermined distance from the developing sleeve and made of a magnetic material. Bias applying means applies an alternating voltage to the sleeve to effect reversal development.

Developing apparatus for image forming equipment using developer carrier

A developing device incorporated in an image forming apparatus and having a developing roller or similar image carrier for transporting a developer to a photoconductive element or similar image carrier to develop an electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier. The developing roller is configured to form microfields on the surface thereof. An alternating voltage is applied to the developing roller as a bias voltage for development to thereby deposit a non-magnetic toner on the surface of the roller. Silica particles are admixed with the toner. The developing device is operable with an adequate developing bias at all times.

Developing device having surface microfields for an image forming

A method and apparatus for developing a latent image electrostatically formed on an image carrier by a developer carried on a developer carrier in a developing region where the image carrier and the developer carrier are located face-to-face. A great number of electric fields are produced on the surface of the developer carrier. An electric field is produced by a voltage applying device in the developing region. The movement of the developer is controlled by an electric field determined by the relationship between a potential deposited on the image carrier, a potential deposited on the developer carrier, and the electric field produced by the voltage applying device. A large number of first and second areas are formed on the surface of the developer carrier such that the first areas are charged to a predetermined potential and the second areas as set at a potential which is lower than the predetermined potential of the first areas in order to generate different level electric fields in the first and second areas. With this arrangement, higher quality images having constant density are formed as a well-balanced charging/discharging condition is developed between the toner and the toner supply roller of the device.

Developing roller having insulating and conductive areas

A developing device incorporated in an image forming apparatus and including a developing roller or similar developer carrier for transporting a developer to a developing region where it faces an image carrier, so as to develop a latent image electrostatically formed on the image carrier. The developer carrier has a first and a second substance different in charging characteristic from each other and exposed to the outside on the surface of the developer carrier in a regular or irregular pattern. At least one of the first and second substances is charged to predetermined polarity on the surface of the developer carrier to form a great number of microfields. Alternatively, the developer carrier may have a conductive base and a surface layer provided on the base and constituted by a conductive substance in which insulating particles are dispersed. At least the insulating particles are charged on the surface of the developer carrier to form a number of microfields. The movement of the developer is controlled by an electric field determined by a relation of a potential deposited on the image carrier, an electric field ascribable to the bias applied from a bias applying source, and an electric field developed on the developer carrier.

Developing device for an image forming apparatus having a large number

A transport guide member for transporting a toner-image-bearing transfer sheet to an image-fixing unit with the image-bearing side up thereon, comprising a grounded slide-contact layer having a volume resistivity of 10.sup.6 to 10.sup.13 .OMEGA..multidot.cm, along which the above-mentioned transfer sheet is transported with the back side thereof opposite to the image-bearing side thereof being in contact therewith.

Transport guide member for guiding transfer sheets

An image recorder capable of recording an image by a predetermined line width with no regard to the operating conditions and ambient conditions by causing the line width of an image into coincidence with a predetermined referece line width. A driver controllably drives an exposing device in response to optical data. A line width sensor means the line width of a visible image developed by a developing device. Control means controls, in response to the line width sensed by the sensor, the driver such that the line width coincides with a predetermined reference line width, and corrects the controllable drive of the exposing device by the driver.
