A display device includes a display panel, pixels on the display panel, data and gate drivers, a timing controller which applies control signals respectively to the data and gate drivers, and a power management integrated circuit ('PMIC') which applies a driving voltage to the data and gate drivers. The timing controller detects an operational condition of the display panel and selects one of stored power setting values to output the selected one of the power setting values to the PMIC. The PMIC includes, first and second storage banks, a controller which receives the power setting value from the timing controller, stores the power setting value in one of the first and second storage banks, and calls the stored power setting value to determine the driving voltage, and a power generator which applies the driving voltage based on the driving voltage determined by the controller.

Power control circuit for display device

A power supply device includes a power circuit, feedback circuit, compensation circuit, and PWM controller. The power circuit generates an output voltage based on a PWM signal. The feedback circuit outputs a feedback voltage. The compensation circuit compares a reference voltage with the feedback voltage and outputs a compensation signal based on a comparison result. The PWM controller adjusts the duty ratio of the PWM signal based on the compensation signal. The compensation circuit includes a comparator to compare the feedback voltage with the reference voltage, a first voltage adjuster to adjust a voltage level of a compensation voltage based on the comparison result, and a compensator output the compensation signal based on the voltage level of the compensation voltage. The compensation signal has a width in a high section that varies. The booster boosts the response speed of the compensator in a predetermined section based on a control signal.

Power supply device and display device including the same

A display device includes a display panel, a plurality of pixels arranged on the display panel, a data driver and a gate driver configured to apply a driving signal to the plurality of pixels, a timing controller configured to apply a control signal to the data driver and the gate driver, and store a plurality of driving voltage predetermined values for different temperatures, a temperature sensor configured to measure an ambient temperature, and a power management integrated circuit configured to adjust a driving voltage. The power management integrated circuit includes a controller configured to receive a driving voltage predetermined value among the plurality of driving voltage predetermined values from the timing controller using the measured ambient temperature, a plurality of storage banks configured to store the driving voltage predetermined value, and a power generator configured to output the driving voltage at the driving voltage predetermined value.

Temperature compensation power circuit for display device

A liquid crystal display device according to the present disclosure includes a timing controller, a power supply unit, a data supply unit, and a liquid crystal display panel. The timing controller analyzes image data to sense a target pattern, and generates an operating signal in a case where the target pattern is sensed. The power supply unit generates first to fourth gamma voltages in a case where the operating signal is not received. The power supply unit generates first to fourth modulation voltages after a variable time in a case where the operating signal is received. The difference between the first and second modulation voltages is smaller than the difference between the first and second gamma voltages, and the difference between the third and fourth modulation voltages is smaller than the difference between the third and fourth gamma voltages.

Liquid crystal display device and driving method thereof

A display apparatus including: a plurality of pixels receiving data voltages in response to gate signals; a drive circuit generating a power voltage and a control signal; a gate driver operating with the power voltage, generating the gate signals and a dummy gate signal in response to the control signal, and supplying the dummy gate signal to the drive circuit; and a data driver operating with the power voltage and generating the data voltages in response to the control signal. The drive circuit measures a temperature of the drive circuit, and a voltage and a current at an output node of the drive circuit generating the power voltage. The measured temperature, voltage and current, and the dummy gate signal are stored in the drive circuit in a predetermined order. This information can be used to detect error states that the display can indicate and use to protect itself from damage.
