Medical container with multiple chambers and method of producing the same

A laminate comprising an ion conductive material having excellent ion conductivity at room temperature or at lower temperatures, a small water content, sufficiently high mechanical strength and storage stability to allow for handling the ion conductive material in practice, and a form which is easily integrated into an electrochemical element or electrochemical devices. Also disclosed is a production method thereof, and a method of producing a battery, a capacitor or an electrochemical element or apparatus using the laminate. The laminate comprises an intermediate layer of an ion conductive material having on the upper and lower portions thereof outer layers having an ion conductivity lower than that of the intermediate layer. Furthermore, at least one of the outer layers is a layer comprising a non electron-conductive material.

Disclosed are a method for manufacturing a solid polymer electrolyte film/electrode composite, in which a porous electrode made from an electochemically active substance is used as an electrode and the pressure inside the porous electrode is reduced in order to fix the solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) film or pre-solid polymer electrolyte (pre-SPE) film to the porous electrode, a battery obtained by impregnating the electrode in the solid polymer electrolyte film/electrode composite with an electrolytic solution under reduced pressure and a method for producing such. The invention provides a thin, uniform film-shaped solid polymer electrolyte/electrode composite with ease. The battery fabricated with the composite is free of defects such as short, has high performance and, hence, is useful.

A method for manufacturing a cover for a can-like container providing improved peelability of a handle. The cover is made by forming a second resin layer by injection molding or compression forming on a multi-layer sheet which oxygen, water, and the like cannot permeate. A thermally weldable first resin layer is provided on the upper surface of the multi-layer sheet. The handle is formed by the second resin layer. A treatment is carried out for allowing the handle to be easily peeled off the multi-layer sheet to all or part of a region of the multi-layer sheet in contact with the underside of the handle.

In a can-shaped container comprising: a container body including a cup-shaped container base with a flange at its opening, the container base being formed by using a plate-shaped multi-layer base material made up of an intermediate layer and thermally weldable resin layers formed on both sides of the intermediate layer in such a manner that wrinkles are formed in the cylindrical wall, and an injected resin layer formed on the outer surface of the container base by injection molding in such a manner that the injected resin layer extends from the outer periphery of the flange of the container base, thus forming an injected resin flange, the two flanges forming a lid sealing region; and a lid thermally welded to the lid sealing region of the container body; the outer periphery of the flange of the container base is located at least 1 mm inwardly away from the outer periphery of the injected resin flange, and the sealing strength of the flange of the container base with the lid is greater than the sealing strength of the injected resin flange with the lid, whereby the container will never is broken or blasted when dropped or subjected to retort sterilization, and the lid can be readily peeled off when necessary.

An injection molding method in which an insert is inserted into a metal mold assembly in advance of molten material by providing a guide member having an aperture in which the insert is inserted, the insert and aperture having relative dimensions such that the insert is forcibly retained in the aperture and to properly locate the insert for injection molding and thereby prevent displacement of the insert during injection molding.

A can comprising a barrel, an upper lid and a lower lid bonded to the barrel. Both the upper and lower lids comprise a gas liquid impermeable barrier layer, preferably aluminum foil, and resin layers heat fused to both sides thereof. Another resin layer is bonded to the exterior of the lids, with the upper lids having a tab and score to be perforated by the tab built into the resin layer. According to the invention, the yield strength of the top lid is made greater than that of the lower lid to prevent breaking of the score if the can is dropped. The differential strength may be accomplished by making the barrier layer of the top lid greater than that of the bottom lid.

Cover for a can-shaped container

A cover for a can comprising a multi-layer base of aluminum foil between heat-fusible resin layers and an overlying laminated resin layer. The outer resin layer has an inner section and a surrounding outer section separated by a gap through which the multi-layer base is exposed. The gap is smooth and continuous, that is, does not have a point, so that the inner section can be leveraged into the multi-layer base and the stress is uniformly distributed over a wide area of the multi-layer base.

A can-like container and a method for manufacturing such a container which provides a strong structure, tight gas barrier, and no effect upon the taste of food stored in the container. The body of the container is fabricated with a multi-layer sheet composed of a metal foil layer having a thickness of no more than 40 .mu.m and a hot-melt resin layer formed on one or both sides of the metal foil layer. The margin portions of the multi-layer material of the container body in corners thereof are either folded into two tucks at each corner or formed into vertical wrinkles upon molding the container body. A cover is joined to the container body, which cover is also composed of a metal foil layer and at least hot-melt resin layer.
