Provided is a solid electrolyte-containing layer capable of preventing a short circuit caused by the formation of a dendrite. A solid electrolyte-containing layers () in accordance with an aspect of the present invention includes (i) an inorganic solid electrolyte (), (ii) a heat-resistant resin (), and (iii) at least one selected from the group consisting of an ionic liquid, a mixture of an ionic liquid and a lithium salt, and a polymer electrolyte.

The present invention provides a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery insulating porous layer having an excellent withstand voltage property and an excellent leakage resistance characteristic. The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery insulating porous layer having a trabecular structure including voids, which trabecular structure has an anisotropy value of 1.30 to 2.10, the anisotropy value being calculated from a three-dimensional image showing a void part and a solid content part on respective two gradation levels, the three-dimensional image being prepared by analyzing images of cross sections obtained by making observation at intervals of 20 nm in a thickness direction from a surface of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery insulating porous layer with use of a FIB-SEM having a magnification of 6500 times.

Nonaqueous elctrolyte secondary battery insulating porous layer

Provided are a separator capable of being used for a secondary battery such as a nonaqueous electrolyte-solution secondary battery and a secondary battery including the separator. A separator having a first layer including a porous polyethylene and an organic additive is provided. A white index of the first layer is equal to or more than 85 and equal to or less than 98, and a reduction rate of diethyl carbonate dropped on the first layer is equal to or higher than 0.048 mg/s and equal to or lower than 0.067 mg/s. The separator may further include a porous layer over the first layer.

Separator and secondary battery including the separator

The present invention provides a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery insulating porous layer having an excellent charge resistance characteristic. Nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery insulating porous layer

The present invention has an object to provide (i) a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery separator having excellent ion permeability and (ii) an insulating porous layer by which to achieve the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery separator. The insulating porous layer is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery insulating porous layer containing: a resin A; and a resin B, the resin A and the resin B having therebetween a Hansen solubility parameter distance (HSP distance) (Ra) of not more than 10 MPa.

Provided is a separator capable of suppressing an increase in internal resistance and a decrease in a battery performance. A separator having a first layer consisting of a porous polyolefin and an organic antioxidant and a secondary battery including the separator are provided. The first layer has a parameter X, defined by the following equation, equal to or more than 0 and equal to or less than 20, where MD tan &#x3b4; and TD tan &#x3b4; are respectively a loss tangent in a flow direction and a loss tangent in a width direction which are obtained by a viscoelasticity measurement of the first layer at a temperature of 90&#xb0; C. and a frequency of 10 Hz. A white index of the first layer is equal to or more than 85 and equal to or less than 98.

The present invention improves productivity of production of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery insulating porous layer in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention is a constituent member of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery laminated separator, includes a thermoplastic resin, has a porosity of 25% to 80%, and has a peeling strength of above 0 N/m to 2.0 N/m when press-bonded to a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery electrode at 25&#xb0; C. through two one-minute 30 kN applications, the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery electrode containing an electrode active material, an electrically conductive agent, and a binding agent in a mass fraction of 92:2.7:5.3.

A laminated porous film includes: a porous base material layer containing polyolefin as a main component; a filler layer containing inorganic particles as a main component; and a resin layer containing, as a main component, resin particles having a median diameter (D50) of greater than 1 &#x3bc;m.

To afford a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery separator that is not easily curled, a laminated body of the present invention includes: a porous base material containing a polyolefin-based resin as a main component; and a porous layer on at least one surface of the porous base material, the porous layer containing a polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin, the porous film having a lightness (L*) of not less than 83 and not more than 95 and a white index (WI) of not less than 85 and not more than 98, the polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin containing crystal form &#x3b1; in an amount of not less than 34 mol % with respect to 100 mol % of a total amount of the crystal form &#x3b1; and crystal form &#x3b2; contained in the polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin.

Laminated body

A method is provided for producing a separator by cutting a laminated porous film. The laminated porous film includes a porous base material layer containing polyolefin as a main component and a filler layer containing inorganic particles as a main component. The filler layer is provided on one surface of the porous base material layer; and a resin layer containing resin particles as a main component is provided on the other surface of the porous base material layer. The method includes a step of cutting, using a slit blade, the laminated porous film from the one surface on which the filler layer is provided.

Method for producing separator

A method is provided for producing a laminated porous film including: a porous base material layer containing polyolefin as a main component; a filler layer containing inorganic particles as a main component; and a resin layer containing resin particles as a main component, the filler layer and resin layer being provided on opposite surfaces of the porous base material layer. The method includes steps of: applying, on one surface of the porous base material layer, a coating solution containing more than 50 wt % of inorganic particles, and drying the coating solution to form a filler layer, and thereafter applying, on the other surface of the porous base material layer, a coating solution containing more than 50 wt % of resin particles, and drying the coating solution to form a resin layer, the weight percentages (wt %) being based on total weight of components other than the medium of each coating solution.
