An optical measuring head which includes a cylindrical portion having a circular cross section, a plurality of light projecting fibers axially disposed in the cylindrical portion through a predetermined distance, a light receiving fiber provided along an axis of the cylindrical portion, and a convex lens formed, at its outer peripheral portion, with a light receiving face for receiving the light from the light projecting fibers and directing the light through the lens so that the light will be incident upon a flat surface of the lens adjacent an object to be measured, through an angle smaller than a critical angle whereby the light will not be reflected by the flat surface, and disposed at a position coaxial with the light receiving fiber for focusing on a forward end face of the light receiving fiber.

A silver halide color photographic material comprising: a support; and a plurality of photographic layers including silver halide emulsion layer formed thereon, wherein one of said photographic layers is comprised of a compound containing recurring unit represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a halogen group; M represents hydrogen, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, or an organic base; X represents an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group, an alkylamino group or a halogen group; m represents 0, 1, or 2 and n represents 1 or 2.

Silver halide color photographic materials

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material having on a support at least one layer containing a color coupler selected from the compounds represented by the general formulae (III) and (IV). The coupler is dispersed using a high boiling point organic solvent selected from the compounds represented by the general formulae (I) and (II). By the combined use of such a color coupler and high boiling point organic solvent, it is possible to prevent color deepening which occurs with the lapse of time, and prevent the formation of dye stain in an area not to be developed during the development process. ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an acyloxy group, an aryloxy group or a halogen atom; R.sub.2 is a cyclic saturated hydrocarbon residue; m is 0 or an integer of 1 to 5; and n is an integer of 1 to 6; and wherein when m or n is an integer of 2 or more, each R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may be the same or different. ##STR2## wherein R.sub.3 is a cyclic saturated hydrocarbon residue; and R.sub.4 and R.sub.5, which may be the same or different, each is a cyclic saturated hydrocarbon residue, an alkyl group or an aryl group. ##STR3## wherein R.sub.6 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, which may be substituted with a phenyl group; R.sub.7 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 12 carbon atoms, which may be substituted with an alkoxy group, an alkylsulfonamido group or an alkylsulfonyl group; R.sub.8 is a chlorine atom or a methoxy group; R.sub.9 is an alkyl group containing 10 to 20 total carbon atoms, which may be substituted with an alkoxy group, a phenoxy group, an alkoxycarbonyl group or an alkylsulfonamido group; and R.sub.10 is hydrogen, a methyl group or a methoxy group. ##STR4## wherein R.sub.11 is a chlorine atom or a methoxy group; R.sub.12 is an alkyl group containing 10 to 20 total carbon atoms, which may be substituted with an alkoxy group, a phenoxy group, an alkylcarbonyl group or an alkylsulfonamido group; and X is a 2,4-dioxo-5,5-dimethyl-3-oxazolydinyl group or a group having the formula ##STR5## (wherein R.sub.13 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, which may be substituted with a phenyl group; and R.sub.14 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, which may be substituted with an alkoxy group, an alkylsulfonamido group or an alkylsulfonyl group).

Silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material

A photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide photographic emulsion layer and containing an emulsified dispersion comprising an organic solvent and an organic solvent gelling agent in at least one hydrophilic colloid layer thereof, a process for producing an emulsified dispersion using an organic solvent gelling agent and a process for stabilizing a photographic light-sensitive material containing an emulsion of an oleophilic photographic additive in a hydrophilic colloid layer thereof using an organic solvent gelling agent.
