A material for fuel-system parts which is excellent in impact strength, rigidity, elongation, unsusceptibility to swelling with liquid fuels including gasoline, and gasoline-barrier properties and has satisfactory moldability. The material for fuel-system parts comprises a resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a given polyamide resin (A) and 11 to 100 parts by weight of a resin (B) having a lower glass transition temperature than the polyamide resin (A) and having a functional group reactive with the polyamide resin (A), and has a structure in which the polyamide resin (A) serves as a matrix ingredient and the resin (B) serves as a domain ingredient.

Material for fuel-system part and fuel-system part comprising the same

A fuel tank produced in such a manner that an upper shell and a lower shell melt-molded as two split molded parts from a PPS resin composition are welded to each other at a welding portion. The PPS resin composition contains (a) 60% by weight to 95% by weight of a PPS resin, and (b) 5% by weight to 40% by weight of an olefin resin. The (a) PPS resin contains (a-1) a PPS resin having an MFR of 90 g/10 min to 350 g/10 min and an amount of extracts by chloroform of 2.2% by weight to 4.5% by weight. The (b) olefin resin contains (b-1) a specific olefin copolymer, and (b-2) an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer. The MFR of the PPS resin composition is 15 g/10 min to 50 g/10 min.

A liner for a high pressure gas container includes a resin composition containing a polyphenylene sulfide resin and an olefin based resin. The resin composition has a methane gas permeability coefficient of 1.7&#xd7;10mol&#xb7;m/m&#xb7;s&#xb7;Pa or smaller at 40&#xb0; C., and tensile elongation of 50% or greater after fracture at 23&#xb0; C. A high pressure gas container having such a liner is also provided.

The present invention provides a laminate for automobile parts having a layer A made from a polyamide resin composition containing 70-99 wt % of (a) a specific polyamide polymer, and 1-30 wt % of (b-1) an ethylene copolymer containing an epoxy group and/or (b-2) an ethylene copolymer modified by an acid anhydride, and a layer B made from a resin composition containing (c-1) a polyethylene resin modified by an acid anhydride and/or (c-2) a polyethylene resin containing an epoxy group, wherein the layer A and the layer B are heat-sealed, except when (1) the layer A contains (b-1) alone as the ethylene copolymer and the layer B contains (c-2) alone as the polyethylene resin; and when (2) the layer A contains (b-2) alone as the ethylene copolymer and the layer B contains (c-1) alone as the polyethylene resin. The laminate of the present invention is superior in strength, stiffness and gasoline barrier property that the automobile parts are required to have.

The present invention provides a polyester resin composition for engine peripheral parts, the resin composition comprising at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of polyethylene terephthalate and an ethylene terephthalate copolymer; an inorganic reinforcement material; and an olefin polymer, wherein a molded article produced from the resin composition has a flexural strain at break of 3.5% or higher and a deflection temperature under load of 180&deg; C. or higher.

A resin molding having welding properties, flexibility, and shock impact resistance in a balanced manner. The resin molding has a welded seam, consisting of a resin composition, wherein the resin composition comprises (a) a polyphenylene sulfide resin and (b) an olefin based resin: wherein an amount of the (a) polyphenylene sulfide resin and the (b) olefin based resin is 80 weight % or more of the entire resin composition, and the content of the (b) olefin based resin is 10 to 100 parts by weight relevant to 100 parts by weight of the (a) polyphenylene sulfide resin, and wherein the tensile elongation at break is 20% or more.

Resin molding

A damping resin composition contains: 100 parts by weight of a polymer blend of 40 to 70% by weight of a polypropylene resin and 30 to 60% by weight of a thermoplastic elastomer; and 5 to 60 parts by weight of an inorganic filler, the thermoplastic elastomer comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of an elastomer having a Tg of 0&deg; C. to 20&deg; C. and an elastomer having a Tg of &minus;20&deg; C. to 0&deg; C. and an ethylene-&agr;-olefin copolymer. Using this damping resin compostion, a vehicle rocker-panel molding, which is attached to the lower part of a vehicle side body is molded. The rocker-panel molding has a bottom section and a side section substantially perpendicular to the bottom section and having prescribed rigidity, showing a nearly L-shaped crosswise profile, in which the bottom section is thinner than the side section so that vibration energy generated on foreign matter's striking against the rocker-panel molding is forcibly converted to heat energy by the thinner bottom section thereby to suppress transmission of noise to the space of the automobile.

Damping resin composition and molded article using the same

To provide a method for producing a molded crystalline resin article which enables a higher crystallization degree and to mass-produce the molded crystalline resin articles. The method comprises molding a molded resin article from a thermoplastic resin containing a crystalline resin followed by performing a heating process to obtain a molded crystalline resin article having a surface layer whose crystallization index is 0.9 or higher when determined by IR spectrometry. It is preferable that the temperature of the heating process is within the range of 20&deg; C. lower than the crystallization temperature of the molded resin article to 30&deg; C. higher than the crystalline temperature, and that the crystalline resin is a polypropylene resin.

Method for producing molded crystalline resin article

A polymer alloy containing a crystalline polypropylene, a polyphenylene ether and a syndiotactic polystyrene where the polyphenylene ether is finely dispersed in the crystalline polypropylene and the syndiotactic polystyrene is dispersed in the polyphenylene ether. The polymer alloy of the present invention comprises crystalline polypropylene/polyphenylene ether and can be improved in heat resistance, high-temperature rigidity and impact resistance without increasing the ratio of the polyphenylene ether and, furthermore, is excellent in moldability.

A decorative tape adhesive molding in which a decorative tape are integrally fusion-bonded to a molding body. A molding body forming material is a non-polar TPE composition, the decorative tape is constituted by a transparent film layer, a backing layer, and a decorative portion layer interposed therebetween. The backing layer forming material is a resin composition containing the same kind of resin polymer as a hard phase-forming polymer of the non-polar TPE or containing a resin polymer having a melting point of not lower than 100&deg; C. and capable of being fusion-bonded to the hard phase-forming polymer of the non-polar TPE.

Decorative tape adhesive molding

The object of the present invention is to provide a colored resin composition having a uniform glitter feeling, which can prevent flow mark formation. In a resin composition molded by using a thermoplastic resin composition in which glitter material is mixed into a synthetic resin, said resin molded article must have a molding ratio L/T is not less than 100, wherein T is the thickness of the molded article and L is a distance from a gate position at molding to a remotest position on the molded article, and wherein said glitter material has average particle size d of 10 &mgr;m<d&lE;200 &mgr;m.

A thermoplastic olefin elastomer molded article has a sealant contact portion coming into contact with a urethane sealant and is substantially made of thermoplastic olefin elastomer. At least the sealant contact surface of the sealant contact portion is made of a polyvinyl chloride layer or a thermoplastic polyurethane layer. At least the portion of the molded article adjoining the polyvinyl chloride layer or the thermoplastic polyurethane layer is made of a chlorinated thermoplastic olefin elastomer which is obtained by replacing part or the whole of the non-rigid phase of a thermoplastic olefin elastomer with chlorinated polyethylene and is capable of thermal fusion bonding to the polyvinyl chloride layer or the thermoplastic polyurethane layer.

Thermoplastic olefin elastomer molded article

A glitter resin molded material provided having a glitter feel which is equivalent of a coated material. This glitter resin molded material comprises a skin layer molded to a surface of a core layer wherein the core layer contains a color pigment and a synthetic resin and the skin layer contains a glitter material, color pigment and a synthetic resin. The skin layer has a value of CR (Contrast Ratio) of less than 99% therein.

A resin composition is disclosed, comprising a thermoplastic resin and a brightening agent, wherein the brightening agent is a scaly brightening agent having an average particle size of from 10 to less than 20 .mu.m and is added in an amount of of from 1 to 8 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin; or the brightenng agent is a scaly brightening agent having an average particle size of from 20 to 50 .mu.m and is added in an amount satisfying the relationship S.ltoreq.5A+15 (wherein S is the average particle size thereof (.mu.m) and A is the addition amount (parts by weight) of the brightening agent per 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin). The resin composition and the resin molded product obtained therefrom give an excellent bright-feeling because the decrease of appearance quality caused by the extraordinary orientation of a scaly brightening agent is minimized.
