A user selects one or more images to be processed from these candidate images, and the degrees of correlation between user selected images and evaluation items are found based on the scores for a plurality of evaluation items in the images selected for processing. A superconducting bearing device comprising a superconductor mounted on a stationary member and a magnet section to be mounted on a rotating member, the superconductor and the magnet section being disposed to oppose each other with a gap therebetween. Also disclosed is a method for producing the magnet section thereof, wherein the magnet section consists of a plurality of annular permanent magnets which are concentric with the axis of the rotating member and also include at least one soft magnetic yoke disposed between these annular permanent magnets. Each annular magnet, in turn, may be comprised of a plurality of arcuate magnet portions whose joint surfaces may be concentrically or axially staggered to disperse nonuniform flux densities observed at their junction surfaces. The joint surfaces between the annular and magnets and the interposing rings may be curved or slanted to reduce axial displacement when the magnet section is rotated. Also, the yoke members may protrude towards the superconductor relative to the permanent magnets comprising the magnet section, and these yokes may be optimally shaped to concentrate and direct magnetic flux to the opposing superconductor in conjunction with curled magnetization of the permanent magnets. Finally, one or more restraining members or wedge portions may be fitted to the magnet section to radially and circumferentially compress the permanent magnets sections and prevent their displacement and breakage at high rotational speeds.

Superconducting bearing device

An endless toner transport which connects a developing device with a cleaning device is disposed so as to pass through these devices in their respective longitudinal directions. The mixing of toner can be enhanced by returning recovered toner to the developing device and by supplying fresh toner to the cleaning device by using the toner transport itself, whereby the reuse of recovered toner and the reduction of the quantity of fresh toner used can be conducted more effectively. In the processes of transporting toner from the developing device to the cleaning device and from the cleaning device to the developing device, toner can effectively be stirred and mixed by utilizing oscillation or the like generated in the endless toner transport which can be in the form of a coil spring so that an additional stirring member is not required, thereby allowing the developing device, and hence the entire image forming apparatus, to be greatly reduced in size.

Image forming equipment, which includes a developing device for supplying toners to the surface of a photosensitive member and developing a latent image on the surface of the photosensitive member to thereby form a toner image; a cleaning device for removing and collecting residual toners adhered to the surface of the photosensitive member after the toner image formed by the developing device is transferred to paper; a toner delivery device interposed in a closed loop between the developing device and cleaning device for delivering part of the surplus toners that have not been used for development in the development device to the cleaning device and for delivering the residual toners collected by the cleaning device to the developing device; and a toner tank for supplying toners to a toner delivery path R of the toner delivery device, is provided. In the image forming equipment, by providing a detection system for detecting the depletion of the toners with respect to the toner delivery path, the residual quantity of toners can be detected positively without increasing the size of the developing device.

A disk drive includes a data recording disk and disk head for recording data and reproducing data from the disk. Arms support the disk head. An actuator drives the arm moving the disk head to a predetermined data recording track of the disk. A spindle motor rotates the disk. An actuator unit moves the disk head to select a track on the disk. First positioning data for positioning the disk head is provided on at least one data surface. Second positioning data is provided at at least one data surface. A control is coupled to the actuator for controlling the positioning of the disk head and the searching of the disk in response to the first and second positioning data. The second positioning data may be located on positioning tracks not used for data. The second positioning information as part of a second positioning data is stored. The disk head position is compensated by the stored second positioning information which is superimposed with the first position data.
