A moving apparatus that performs control to stop the moving apparatus at a position close to a user and to rotate the moving apparatus at a stop position, thereby making it easy to take out a product carried on the apparatus. The moving apparatus includes a control unit that executes traveling control of the moving apparatus, an upper unit that has an article storage unit, and a lower unit that houses a drive unit, in which the control unit inputs detection information of a sensor, and executes control to stop the moving apparatus at a position close to a user and rotate the moving apparatus at a stop position on the basis of input sensor detection information. The control unit performs display control of a traveling route recognition display line indicating a traveling route of the moving apparatus.

There is provided a moving apparatus which includes a control unit that executes traveling control of the moving apparatus, an upper unit that has an article storage unit, and a lower unit that houses the control unit and a drive unit. The upper unit has an upper sensor that detects an obstacle in surroundings at a position of at least one of an upper surface or a lower surface position, and the lower unit has a lower sensor that detects an obstacle in a proximity area of a traveling surface of the moving apparatus. The control unit inputs sensor detection information, detects an obstacle in surroundings of the moving apparatus, executes traveling control to avoid contact with the obstacle, and performs control to display a traveling route recognition display line that indicates a traveling route of the moving apparatus.

A protective cover includes an input operating unit and a cover unit. Through the input operating unit, an input operation to an electronic apparatus is performed. The invention provides a portable information processing apparatus such as a notebook personal computer which is improved in operability for an operation element which can be rotated and pushed in. A lid member having a display screen is mounted for pivotal folding and unfolding movement on and with respect to a body of a notebook personal computer. A keyboard, a touch pad, left and right click buttons, and an operation element, which can be rotated in the forward and backward directions and can be displaced by a push-in operation, are provided on an upper face of the body. For example, when the operation element is rotated, an application is selected, and the selected application is executed by a push-in operation of the operation element. The operation element is disposed at a substantially central position of a palm rest, which is provided on the upper face of the body forwardly of the keyboard, in the leftward and rightward directions of the body in the proximity of the touch pad or the left and right click buttons. The operation element may otherwise be disposed between the left and right click buttons or between the touch pad and the keyboard.
