Disclosed is an image data transmission apparatus which includes an image reading unit for reading the original image, and a transmission apparatus main body. The main body includes a memory for storing the image data read by the image reading unit and transmits the content of the memory. The image reading unit is detachably mounted on the transmission apparatus main body. The transmission apparatus main body is further provided with a conveying device for conveying the original in a state in which the image reading unit is mounted on the transmission apparatus main body to thereby read the original. The image reading unit may also scan the original to read an original image, in a state in which the image reading unit is dismounted from the transmission apparatus main body. Further, a sheet element made of a material of a low coefficient of friction, as opposed to the original, may be disposed at a position corresponding to the mounted state of the image reading unit on the transmission apparatus main body. Further, an image data transmission apparatus is disclosed which possesses the telephone function and copy function, and is also provided with, as desired, a facsimile function by mounting a detachable facsimile processing device in the transmission apparatus main body. Further, the operation panel may be, in order to use it as the original stacker, disposed angularly dislocatably around the axial line crossing with the original inserting direction.

Image data transmission apparatus

A head driving mechanism for driving a recording head for a recording apparatus, includes a cylindrical head slide shaft, a head carriage formed with a circular bore so as to be slidably and rotatably fitted, at the circular bore, around the head slide shaft. A prismatic cam shaft which is engageable with the head carriage is also provided for rotating the head carriage, and an elastic member and a solenoid are provided for urging the cam shaft in opposite directions. Upon energization of the solenoid, the cam shaft is rotated in a direction such that the recording head is selectively depressed against a platen by a driving force of the solenoid and upon de-energization of the solenoid the cam shaft is rotated by an urging force of the elastic member such that the recording head is disengaged from the platen.

A printer system containing an elastic endless sheet member which extends between roller members in front of a print head. The roller members are disposed so as to form a flat surface of the elastic endless sheet member in front of the print head in order to ensure clean printing. One of the roller members is connected to a paper feed motor so that a paper sheet is fed in front of the print head in the vertical direction in unison with the rotation of the elastic endless sheet member around the roller members.

Disclosed is a heat-transfer type thermal recording device capable of recording/printing color pictures by heating an ink tape using a thermal line head and transferring ink from the ink film tape to a continuous sheet of recording paper where the ink film tape and recording paper are conveyed simultaneously, consisting of a vertical cassette unit with an ink-tape supply reel and a take-up reel which allows both to freely rotate by suspending them between two side panels of the cassette unit, with such a configuration in which the ink tape from the supply reel is continuously retrieved by the take-up reel through an inferior aperture in the cassette unit after the ink tape is drawn through a superior aperture in the cassette unit. The cassette unit is installed in a designated position inside the thermal recording device to enable easy loading and unloading and to simplify positioning of the ink film tape between the thermal line head of the recording device and the recording paper platen reel.
