A detachable-roof-equipped vehicle body structure includes a seal member provided in a roof opening section, and a soft top constructed to abut against the seal member. The seal member includes first and second seal units, and the soft top includes a flexible sheet for covering the roof opening section and a reinforcing member of higher rigidity than the sheet. The reinforcing member is abutted, from above, against both of the first and second seal units. The structure also includes a connecting bag part secured to the sheet, left and right side rails attached to the sheet, and a wire member inserted through the bag part and extending between the side rails. The wire member includes a small-diameter portion, and large-diameter portion each provided on a position spaced from a corresponding one of the side rails.

Vehicle body structure with detachable roof

A vehicle seat housing apparatus wherein a seat is swung back from a seatable position by a support mechanism and housed in a housing recess part such that the bottom is oriented upward, the housing recess part is formed on the floor behind the seat. The support mechanism includes a first support member, a second support member, a coupling shaft, and a folding mechanism. The first support member extends from either the floor or the housing recess part. The second support member extends from the bottom surface of the seat to the first support member. The coupling shaft couples the second support member to the first support member so as to allow back and forth swinging movement. The folding mechanism, when the seat is housed in the housing recess part, folds the first and second support members in a direction eliminating protrusion to the passenger compartment from the floor.

Vehicle slide door structure includes a lower slide rail () provided on a slide door (), and a link mechanism () provided between a vehicle body () and the slide rail (). A door checker for an automobile includes: a case fixed to one of a body and a door of the automobile; a check lever movably penetrating the case, oscillatably axis-supported by the other of the body and the door, and provided with a rack on one side face; a pinion meshed with the rack and rotatably housed in the case; a movable shoe housed in the case so that the movable shoe can be engaged with and disengaged from a tooth portion of the pinion; and a check spring for biasing the movable shoe in the direction of engagement with the pinion. The door is held at an arbitrary opening degree by an engaging force of the movable shoe with the pinion due to a biasing force of the check spring. Thus, it is possible to easily set a large number of steps in an opening degree for holding the door.

Door checker for automobile

A drip molding supported by a pillar at a corner of the front or back of a vehicle, for draining waterdrops entering a side edge of a front or back windowpane. The drip molding has a base attached to the pillar; a part for sealing a gap between the base and the side edge; and a lip part extending from the base to the front surface of the windowpane to form a drainage path between the lip part and the windowpane. On the outside of the lip part, a bent surface is arranged so as to form an arc bending toward the front surface of the windowpane, and an inner face of the lip part is formed in a manner such that the larger a distance from the head toward the root of this part, the larger the distance between this inner face and the front surface of the windowpane.

An automobile door checker includes a check plate, a shoe holder housed in a case, a shoe that is held by the shoe holder and the shoe slides on the check plate accompanying relative movement between the case and the check plate, and a check spring that resiliently urges the shoe holder toward the check plate in order to press the shoe against the check plate. The shoe is axially supported in the shoe holder so that the shoe can swing from a neutral position to forward and backward swing limits. The shoe is provided with return-to-neutral means for exhibiting a return force that makes the shoe return to the neutral position. The contact area between the shoe and the check plate is arranged so that the frictional force in the contact area becomes the smallest when the shoe reaches the shoe swing limits.
