A vehicle front structure including a left and right pair of front side members, a bumper reinforcement and a power unit. The bumper reinforcement includes a first breakage initiation point at a position at one vehicle width direction side relative to a vehicle width direction center position of the vehicle, and a second breakage initiation point at a position at the other vehicle width direction side. The first breakage initiation point is a region at which bending yield strength is lower than other regions of the bumper reinforcement. The second breakage initiation point is a region with lower bending yield strength than the other regions but higher bending yield strength than the first breakage initiation point. The bumper reinforcement includes a bumper reinforcement main body with a chamber structure and a bracing member inside the bumper reinforcement main body at the vehicle width direction center position of the vehicle.

Vehicle front structure

A shock absorbing member includes an outer member being hollow and made of a metal, and an inner member held in the outer member. The inner member includes a wood member and a bracket that is made of a solid resin or a metal and that is integral with the wood member. The inner member includes a holding structure configured to position and hold the bracket to the outer member.

Shock absorbing member and method of manufacturing the same

A vehicle side section structure includes a pair of front pillars that are respectively provided at both vehicle width direction sides of a vehicle front section so as to extend along a vehicle vertical direction, and a reinforcing member formed of wood and is provided inside a cross-section of at least one of the pair of front pillars, an axial center direction of tree rings of the reinforcing member being oriented in a direction running along a length direction of the at least one front pillar.

Vehicle side section structure

A bumper reinforcement includes a body portion joined to a vehicle body front end portion through portions of the body portion on a first direction side and a second direction side in the vehicle width direction, and a reinforcing member joined to the body portion along the body portion. The body portion includes a first standard rigidity region, a high rigidity region, and a second standard rigidity region arrayed next to each other in this order in the vehicle width direction. The high rigidity region has rigidity higher than rigidity of the first standard rigidity region and rigidity of the second standard rigidity region and is positioned in a center of the body portion in the vehicle width direction. The reinforcing member is provided so as to at least partially overlap the high rigidity region and the first standard rigidity region through a first boundary position.

Bumper reinforcement

A vehicular impact-absorbing member may include a wood member having a first pair of opposite surfaces perpendicular to an axis direction of annual rings thereof and a second pair of opposite surfaces parallel to the axis direction of the annual rings thereof, a pair of restraint members respectively positioned on the second pair of opposite surfaces of the wood member, and connecting members connecting the pair of restraint members to each other with the wood member sandwiched between the pair of restraint members.

Vehicular impact-absorbing member

A vehicle front structure includes: a bumper reinforcement; a power unit including a right device and a left device; a dash section located at a position rearward of the power unit; and a rearward supporting part provided between a dash section and the power unit. The bumper reinforcement includes a first breakage initiation point having a relatively lower bending strength than bending strengths of other portions of the bumper reinforcement. The position of the first breakage initiation point is set such that when a columnar object collides against the vicinity of the center in the vehicle width direction of the vehicle, the first breakage initiation point transfers a collision load to one of the right device and the left device which is supported by the rearward supporting part.

The present disclosure provides a bumper reinforcement including: a bumper main body portion extending in a vehicle transverse direction and is provided at a vehicle longitudinal direction outer side of a pair of left and right side members, the pair of left and right side members being disposed at a vehicle front portion or a vehicle rear portion and extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction; and a reinforcing member formed of wood and is block-shaped, and that is disposed within a cross-section of at least a vehicle transverse direction central portion of the bumper main body portion, an axially central direction of annual growth rings of the wood of the reinforcing member being set to a direction that runs along the vehicle transverse direction.

A vehicle side section structure capable of stabilizing the deployment behavior of an airbag that inflates and deploys from a side door toward a vehicle width direction outer side is obtained. An impact beam is attached to a door inner panel. The impact beam includes a support portion that supports an inflator and that includes a side-wall portion disposed at the vehicle width direction inner side of the inflator. Accordingly, reaction force from the deployment of the airbag is able to be supported by the support portion of the impact beam when the airbag inflates and deploys.

A crossing member disposed along a vehicle width direction between inflected portions of side members is capable of transmitting load from one of the side members to the other of the side members when the one side member deforms toward a vehicle width direction inward. Accordingly, when collision load is input due to an offset collision or the like, the collision load is transmitted from the one side member input with the collision load to the other side member through the crossing member, and the collision load is supported by the other side member.

Vehicle lower section structure

A vehicle framework structure includes a tunnel, a pair of rockers, a dash cross-member, a front side member rear and a floor reinforcement. The tunnel is disposed at a vehicle width direction central portion of a floor panel of a vehicle. The rockers are disposed at each vehicle width direction outer sides of the floor panel. The dash cross-member connects front portions of the rockers with the tunnel. A front side member is disposed at the vehicle front-and-rear direction front side of the floor panel. The front side member rear is provided under the floor panel at the vehicle front-and-rear direction rear side of the front side member. A vehicle front-and-rear direction front portion of the floor reinforcement is disposed between the dash cross-member and the floor panel, and the floor reinforcement is joined to the floor panel and to the front side member rear.

Vehicle framework structure

A cross member is disposed inside a battery case. The cross member extends in the vehicle width direction at a location that overlaps with rockers as seen in the vehicle width direction. The cross member is more resistant to deformation by a load toward the battery case than a cover portion of the battery case. Therefore, when a load toward the battery case is applied, a transmission path for the load from the rocker at one vehicle width direction side to the rocker at the other vehicle width direction side may be formed by the cross member.

Vehicle lower portion structure

The present invention provides a vehicle front section structure including: a side member front that is configured by a high tensile steel sheet, and has a closed cross-section; a side member rear that is configured by a high tensile steel sheet, and has a U-shaped cross-section open toward the upper side; a bracket that is disposed outside the closed cross-section of the side member front and inside the U-shaped cross-section of the side member rear, and has a first bottom wall that bends from a second bottom wall of the side member rear along a third bottom wall of the side member front; a first coupling portion that couples together the third bottom wall of the side member front and the first bottom wall of the bracket; and a second coupling portion that couples together the second bottom wall of the side member rear and the first bottom wall of the bracket.
