An information processing apparatus () includes a distance determination unit () configured to determine a distance between a tip of a welding rod object used for a welding operation and a parent material object based on a distance between the parent material object and a dot object used for distance determination, the dot object being located at the tip, a welding processing performing unit () configured to perform welding processing in virtual space based on the determined distance, a welding rod length corrector () configured to perform a correction such that an axial length of the welding rod object is shortened, a distance determination object mover () configured to move the dot object to the tip of the welding rod object after the correction, and a display controller () configured to cause a display to display an image including the corrected welding rod object and the dot object moved.
