A terminal voltage detection circuit of a motor control device detects first detection values of a first terminal of a DC motor and second detection values of a second terminal of the DC motor. An inter-terminal voltage calculation unit calculates inter-terminal voltage calculation values from the first detection values and the second detection values. The inter-terminal voltage calculation unit outputs one of the calculation values having the smallest absolute value as an inter-terminal voltage selection value. A steering angle speed estimation unit estimates a steering angle speed based on the selection value and a motor current. A compensation control unit executes a compensation control based on the steering angle speed estimated by the steering angle speed estimation unit. Accordingly, robustness of the compensation control is improved and excess assist is restricted.

Motor control device

A motor controller includes an H-bridge circuit, a switching-element driving circuit, a motor-current detection circuit, a sample hold circuit executing a sample hold of an output of the motor-current detection circuit at every half period and outputting the output of the motor-current detection circuit as a first signal and a second signal, according to a PWM output timing of the switching-element driving circuit, and a motor-current calculation circuit selecting a signal that is larger between the first signal and the second signal as a selection signal, calculating a value of the selection signal as an absolute value of a motor current, determining a current direction based on a relation between the selection signal and a PWM output signal at a sample timing that the selection signal is obtained.

Motor controller and electric power steering device

In an electronic device, a heat generation part pattern is connected to a heat generating element to heat from the heat generating element. A temperature detecting element is disposed adjacent to a first surface of a substrate. A direct under layer pattern is disposed on a second surface of the substrate opposite to the temperature detecting element in an area including a portion corresponding to the temperature detecting element. An interlayer connection pillar connects between the heat generation part pattern and the direct under layer pattern to conduct heat. The heat generated from the heat generating element is effectively conducted to the temperature detecting element through the heat generation part pattern, the interlayer connection pillar, and the direct under layer pattern, and thus the temperature detecting element accurately detects the temperature of the heat generating element.
