In an electrochromic mirror, an insulating film is disposed between a conductive reflective film and an electrolytic solution and the conductive reflective film and the electrolytic solution are electrically insulated from each other except inside of insulating film side small holes. Accordingly, in a portion where the insulating film side small holes are not formed, the conductive reflective film does not come into contact with the electrolytic solution, as the result, a ferrocene ion is not reduction-reacted. Thereby, a current is very effectively suppressed from steadily flowing between the conductive film and the conductive reflective film due to repetition of a redox reaction of ferrocene, resulting in very effectively suppressing a voltage from dropping due to the current.

Electrochromic mirror

An electrochromic mirror includes an electrochromic film, an electrically conductive reflective film formed at one thickness direction side of the electrochromic film, an electrically conductive film provided at one thickness direction side of the electrochromic film and at a side of the electrically conductive reflective film that is opposite from the electrochromic film, an electrolytic solution containing lithium ions and enclosed between the electrically conductive reflective film and the electrically conductive film, and a reduction reaction compensation unit. In the electrolytic solution, due to applying a voltage such that the electrically conductive film is made positive and electrically conductive reflective film is made negative, the lithium ions move toward the side of the electrochromic film and are provided to a reduction reaction of the electrochromic film. The reduction reaction compensation unit compensates the reduction reaction.

An electrochromic mirror includes an electrically conductive reflective film capable of reflecting light that is incident thereto and having electrical conductivity in which plural fine penetration holes are formed, an electrochromic film that is provided at a side of the electrically conductive reflective film at which the light is incident and reflected, an electrically conductive film that is provided at a side of the electrically conductive reflective film that is opposite from the electrochromic film, and an electrolytic solution that contains lithium ions and is enclosed between the electrically conductive film and the electrically conductive reflective film. The plural penetration holes formed in the electrically conductive reflective film penetrate in a thickness direction thereof, and a ratio between a distance between respective centers of the penetration holes and an inner peripheral diameter dimension of the penetration holes is 7 or more.

An electrochromic mirror includes a transparent electrode film, an electrochromic film formed at one thickness direction side of the transparent electrode film, a light reflective film that reflects light that has transmitted through the transparent electrode film and the electrochromic film, a lithium ion transmissive film provided between the electrochromic film and the light reflective film, an electrically conductive film provided at the one thickness direction side of the transparent electrode film and at a side of the light reflective film opposite from the lithium ion transmissive film, and an electrolytic solution that comprises lithium ions and is enclosed between the light reflective film and the electrically conductive film. The lithium ion transmissive film transmits lithium ions and imposed diffusion of silver from the side of the light reflective film to the side of the electrochromic film.

An electrochromic mirrorhas a simple construction wherein only two layers of films, namely an electrochromic filmand an electrically conductive light reflecting filmare formed on a glass substrate, and a film thickness and film quality and the like of the electrochromic filmand the electrically conductive light reflecting filmhardly affects performance. Therefore, this leads to easy manufacturing at low cost. Further, since the electrochromic mirror has such a construction that light introduced from a surface side of the glass substrateis reflected by the electrically conductive light reflecting filmformed on a back of this glass substrate, occurrence of a double image is prevented.

The present invention provides an electrochromic mirror, comprising a transparent substrate; an electrochromic film that develops color reductively having the transparent substrate on or above the surface thereof; a light-reflecting film allowing transmission of hydrogen or lithium atoms formed on the side of the electrochromic film opposite to the transparent substrate; a substrate having an electrically conductive area at least on one surface facing the light-reflecting film; and an electrolyte solution at least containing a hydrogen ion and an oxidizable material containing neutral molecules or negative ions and that is sealed between the light-reflecting film and the conductive area of the substrate; wherein (i) the light-reflecting film has electrical conductivity, or (ii) a transparent electrode film having electrical conductivity is formed between the transparent substrate and the electrochromic film, further comprising a dielectric film having a hydrogen or lithium ion conductivity formed between the light-reflecting film and the electrolyte solution.

The present invention provides a variable reflectance mirror, comprising a color layer that develops color by binding to hydrogen or lithium, a transparent substrate formed on or above one surface of the color layer, a light-reflecting layer which allows transmission of hydrogen or lithium provided on the side of the color layer opposite to the surface thereof on which the transparent substrate is formed, and a supplying device for supplying hydrogen or lithium to the color layer, wherein a transparent intermediate layer which allows transmission of hydrogen or lithium and having a refractive index smaller than that of the color layer is formed between the color layer and the light-reflecting layer.

Variable reflectance mirror

The present invention provides an electrochromic mirror including: a transparent substrate; a transparent electrode film which is formed on the transparent substrate and has conductivity; an electrochromic film which is formed on the transparent electrode film and can be colored by reduction; a light reflecting film which is formed on the electrochromic film and which hydrogen atoms or lithium atoms can permeate; a support substrate which has a conductive part having conductivity formed on at least one surface thereof; and an electrolytic solution containing at least hydrogen ions or lithium ions, and neutral molecules or negative ions which can be oxidized, wherein the transparent substrate is located close to the support substrate such that the conductive part faces the light reflecting film, and the electrolytic solution is enclosed between the light reflecting film and the conductive part.

Electrochromic mirror having variable reflectivity

In a reflecting mirror, a hydrogen storing metal or a hydrogen storing alloy is used in an electrically conductive reflecting film. When a predetermined voltage is applied from an electrically conductive reflecting film side to a transparent electrode, hydrogen stored at the electrically conductive reflecting film is released and becomes hydrogen ions, and the hydrogen ions move toward the transparent electrode. When the hydrogen ions reach a reduction coloring film between the transparent electrode and the electrically conductive reflecting film, the hydrogen ions bond with an oxide of tungsten which forms the reduction coloring film, and the reduction coloring film is thereby colored. In accordance with this structure, it is possible to do away with an oxidation coloring film.

Reflecting mirror

In the reflecting mirror of the present invention, the film thickness of a photocatalytic hydrophilic film mainly made of silicon dioxide is set to about 90 nm, and the mass ratio of photocatalyst particles made of titanium dioxide contained in the photocatalytic hydrophilic film is set to about 60%. As a result, the hydrophilicity and the photocatalytic property can be sufficiently assured, and the surface reflectivity of the photocatalytic hydrophilic film can be effectively restrained. Therefore, the occurrence of a double image caused by the surface reflection of the photocatalytic hydrophilic film can be effectively restrained or be prevented.

The present invention provides a mirror device motor control circuit that can reliably stop a mirror at predetermined positions with a simple configuration. In the control circuit of the invention, part of a lock current flowing to the motor flows to a base terminal of a transistor. Thus, as long as a voltage corresponding to the lock current is equal to or greater than a specific value, this voltage is applied to the base terminal of the transistor, whereby between a collector terminal and an emitter terminal becomes conductive, and the current flowing to a gate of a MOSFET is grounded via the collector terminal and the emitter terminal of the transistor. For this reason, when the lock current flows, conduction between a drain terminal and a base terminal of the MOSFET is released and a drive current of the motor is cut off.

Motor control circuit for mirror device

In a vehicle door mirror device, a bracket is divided into a frame and a case member. Thus, the frame and the like for a vehicle right side and for a vehicle left side can both hold a mirror at a vehicle rear side thereof. A mounting hole and a supporting hole of a case member are provided to be symmetrical with respect to a vertical plane which passes through a widthwise direction center of the case member. Thus, even if a common case member is used both for a vehicle right side and for a vehicle left side by left and right sides of the case member being reversed, the mounting hole of the case member can be mounted to the frame and the like for the vehicle right side and the vehicle left side.

Communication system for a vehicle and vehicle accessory operation system that utilizes the communication system

A reflecting mirror is obtained which prevents double images from being formed and provides sufficient the hydrophilic property. The hydrophilic coating is approximately 15 nm in thickness and the photocatalytic coating between the hydrophilic coating and the glass substrate is approximately 240 nm in thickness. This setting of dimensions reduces the surface optical reflectance of light having a wavelength ranging from approximately 550 nm to 580 nm. This also reduces the deterioration of the photocatalytic action caused by the diffusion of sodium ions contained in the glass substrate into the photocatalytic coating. Furthermore, the aforementioned setting of dimensions turns the color of surface reflected light to whitish. Even when images formed by the surface reflected light or images formed by reflected light from the reflecting film interfered by surface reflected light are viewed, the after-image thereof hardly remains.
