A needle tube includes: a tubular main body section; a distal opening section; a needle tip; a side hole disposed closer to the proximal end side of the main body than the tip; a side hole inner circumferential edge extending around the longitudinal axis of the main body where the side hole and the inner circumferential surface intersect; a side hole outer circumferential edge extending around the longitudinal axis of the main body where the side hole and the outer circumferential surface intersect; and an engaged surface formed between the side hole inner circumferential edge and the side hole outer circumferential edge to be directed toward the proximal end of the main body section and configured to lock biological tissue entering from the distal opening section, wherein the side hole forms an opening area smaller than that of the distal opening.

A apparatus for ligating living tissues comprises an introducing tube capable of being inserted into a living body cavity, at least two or more manipulating wires movably inserted into the introducing tube, and at least two or more clips having a proximal end portion, a pinch section being formed at a distal end of an arm section extending from the proximal end. A ligating apparatus includes an introducing tube which can be inserted in a living body cavity, a manipulating wire inserted in the introducing tube in such a manner that the manipulating wire can freely advance or retreat, a clip which is directly joined to a tip end of the manipulating wire, which has a holding portion formed in a tip end of an arm portion extending from the base end, and which has an extending/opening property, and engaging structure disposed in at least one of the base end of the clip and the tip end of the manipulating wire, wherein at least one of the engaging means is deformed and releases engaging of the clip and the manipulating wire, when the clip engages with the tip end of the introducing tube, and a force for detaching the base end of the clip from the tip end of the manipulating wire is applied.

A suturing device for an endoscope includes a curved needle rotatably attached on the distal end of the suturing device. A rotary member is provided on the rotation axis of the curved needle for rotating said curved needle and a connecting arm connects the curved needle to the rotary member. The center of curvature of the curved needle is aligned with the rotation axis of the curved needle and engaging means are provided at least at the pointed end of the curved needle for receiving thread.

An endo-therapy accessory is used in combination with an endoscope which has a forceps elevator. This endo-therapy accessory has an insertion portion of the endo-therapy accessory to be inserted into the endoscope. In this device, the manipulating section is manipulated, thereby making it possible to manipulate only the clip interlocked with the manipulating wire engaged with the switch lever.
