The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device provided with an in-cell touch panel, capable of reducing or preventing color mixing in an oblique view while reducing or preventing a reduction in transmittance, and of reducing or preventing a reduction in display quality. The liquid crystal display device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate facing the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate includes: a thin-film transistor; a pixel electrode connected to the thin-film transistor; a color filter layer including color filters of multiple colors; a touch panel line on a liquid crystal layer side of the color filter layer; and a flattening film on a liquid crystal layer side of the touch panel line.

Liquid crystal display device

A liquid crystal display device comprises a first substrate; a second substrate opposite the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate; and an active area including: a matrix of first regions; and a plurality of second regions distributed so as not to overlap the first regions, wherein each first region includes a switching element and is supplied with a grayscale signal via the switching element, and the plurality of second regions includes no switching element and is supplied with a common signal.

An array substrate includes gate lines, source lines, switching components, position detecting electrodes, a light blocking portion, and position detecting lines. The position detecting electrodes are disposed in a layer lower than the gate lines and the source lines to detect input positions at which the position input operation is performed with a position input body based on electrostatic capacitances between the position input body and the position detecting electrodes. The light blocking portion is disposed in a layer lower than channel regions of the switching components and opposite the channel regions with a lower insulating film between the light blocking portion and the channel regions. The position detecting lines are formed from sections of a conductive film from which the light blocking portion is formed and coupled to the position detecting electrodes.

An active matrix substrate of a liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a light blocking layer, a lower insulating layer, a pixel TFT, a source wiring line, a pixel electrode, and a common electrode. The pixel TFT includes an oxide semiconductor layer. The oxide semiconductor layer includes a channel region, and first and second low-resistive regions. The source wiring line is located between the main surface of the first substrate and the lower insulating layer, and is formed from a conductive film the same as the light blocking layer. The pixel electrode is formed from an oxide film the same as the oxide semiconductor layer, and is continuous with the second low-resistive region. The active matrix substrate further includes a connection electrode that is formed from a transparent conductive film the same as the common electrode and connects the source wiring line to the first low-resistive region.

Liquid crystal display device and manufacturing method of the same

A liquid crystal panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate includes a plurality of first wires, a second wire that intersects with the plurality of first wires, and a third wire that is arranged in a layer different from a layer in which the second wire is arranged and that is arranged in parallel to the second wire. An aperture is formed in at least any of all intersection portions in which the plurality of first wires and the second wire intersect. The second wire and the third wire are connected through a contact hole that is formed in the aperture.

A display apparatus includes: a pixel electrode; a switching element that is connected to the pixel electrode; a scanning line that transfers a signal by which the switching element is driven; an image line that transfers a signal by which the pixel electrode is charged; a liquid crystal layer that includes liquid crystal molecules; a plurality of domains that are different in alignment direction of the liquid crystal molecules when a voltage is applied to the liquid crystal layer; an alignment boundary portion that is positioned in a boundary of the plurality of domains; an alignment film that aligns the liquid crystal molecules, and a capacitor line that extends along the transverse direction and is arranged so as to be overlapped with the pixel electrode with an insulating film in between and overlapped with at least a part of the alignment boundary portion.

A method for manufacturing an active matrix substrate including a thin film transistor for each pixel, and a first electrode and a first wiring line for touchscreen panel function includes: forming a transparent electrically conductive film on an interlayer insulating layer and within a first contact hole; forming, on a portion of the transparent electrically conductive film, an upper wiring portion to become an upper layer of the first wiring line; patterning the transparent electrically conductive film to make a pixel electrode and form a lower wiring portion to become a lower layer of the first wiring line; forming a dielectric layer covering the pixel electrode and the first wiring line and having a second contact hole through which a portion of the first wiring line is exposed; and forming a common electrode which is electrically connected to the first wiring line within the second contact hole.

Method for manufacturing active matrix substrate and method for manufacturing liquid crystal display device with touch sensor

An active matrix substrate includes a first TFT of a peripheral circuit and a second TFT arranged in each pixel, wherein: the first TFT is a top gate or double gate TFT that includes an upper gate electrode on a portion of a first oxide semiconductor layer with a gate insulating layer interposed therebetween; the second TFT is a bottom gate TFT that includes a second lower gate electrode arranged on the substrate side of a second oxide semiconductor layer with a lower insulating layer interposed therebetween and includes no gate electrode on the second oxide semiconductor layer; the second TFT including: an island-shaped insulator layer that is arranged on a portion of the second oxide semiconductor layer so as to overlap with at least a portion of the second lower gate electrode, as seen from a direction normal to the substrate; an upper insulating layer that is arranged on the second oxide semiconductor layer and the island-shaped insulator layer; and a source electrode that is arranged on the upper insulating layer, wherein: a portion of the second oxide semiconductor layer that does not overlap with the island-shaped insulator layer is a low resistance region that has a lower specific resistance than a portion thereof that overlaps with the island-shaped insulator layer; and in an intersection between a source bus line and a gate bus line, the lower insulating layer and the upper insulating layer are located between these bus lines.

Active matrix substrate and method for manufacturing the same

A color filter substrate includes a light transmissive substrate, a light blocking layer, a light transmissive layer, and a color layer. The light blocking layer is formed on the light transmissive substrate. The light transmissive layer is formed along an edge of the light blocking layer on the light transmissive substrate. The color layer passes rays of visible light and is tinted a predefined color so that the rays passing therethrough exhibit a predefined color. The color layer includes a section disposed on a top surface of the light transmissive substrate in a blank area and an edge section extending from the section in the blank area over the light transmissive layer and a section of the light blocking layer. A thickness of a section of the light transmissive layer on a blank area side is less than a thickness of the light blocking layer.

Color filter substrate, method of producing the same, and display panel

The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device for which laser repair can be easily performed to correct a defect pixel, and/or a liquid crystal display device capable of reducing generation of contact failure and a short circuit. The liquid crystal display device of the present invention includes a first substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and a second substrate in the given order. The first substrate includes: an insulating substrate; a scanning line; a data line; a first insulating film disposed between the scanning line and the data line; a common line extending in an extension direction of the scanning line or the data line; a counter electrode facing the common line with the first insulating film in between; a switching element being connected to the scanning line and the data line; a second insulating film; a pixel electrode being connected to the switching element and the counter electrode; a third insulating film; and a common electrode being provided with an opening. The switching element, the second insulating film, the pixel electrode, the third insulating film, and the common electrode are disposed in the given order toward the liquid crystal layer.

A display device includes a first source wiring line having a first wide width portion with a second width greater than the first width. The first wide width portion is disposed in a vicinity of one of spacers. The first wide width portion includes an overlapping region overlapping with a black matrix and a non-overlapping region not overlapping with the black matrix when seen in a normal line direction of a main surface of a substrate. A spacer shadow region extending from one spacer to a side of a first direction with an identical width with a width of the one spacer includes a first region overlapping with the black matrix and a second region not overlapping with the black matrix when seen in the normal line direction. The non-overlapping region of the first wide width portion partially overlaps with the second region of the spacer shadow region.
