An apparatus for controlling a load handling device of an industrial vehicle is provided. The load handling device includes a mast assembly and a load handling attachment attached to the mast assembly. The apparatus includes a tilt angle detector that detects a tilt angle of the mast assembly, a controller that regulates a lifting speed of the load handling attachment, and a determination device that determines whether or not the load handling attachment is being lifted off the ground. When the determination device determines that the load handling attachment is being lifted off the ground, the controller permits the load handling attachment to be lifted at a speed faster than the regulated lifting speed.

Apparatus for controlling load handling device

An apparatus for controlling a load handling device of an industrial vehicle includes a lifted height detector that detects a lifted height of the load handling device, a tilt angle detector that detects a tilt angle of the load handling device, a loading pump that pumps hydraulic oil from a hydraulic tank in the industrial vehicle and supplies the hydraulic oil to a lift cylinder and a tilt cylinder, a drive that drives the loading pump, and a controller that controls the flow rate of hydraulic oil supplied to the lift cylinder and the tilt cylinder. When the forward tilt angle of the load handling device is greater than a first regulation tilt angle and a lifted height of the load handling device is higher than a predetermined reference height, the controller regulates the flow rate of hydraulic oil supplied to the lift cylinder.

A forklift truck includes a truck body, a fork, a mast, tilting and lifting mechanisms, tilt and lift levers, tilting and lifting operation detectors, an auxiliary switch, a tilt angle detector and a controller. The tilt and lift levers are adapted to operate the tilting and lifting mechanisms, respectively. The auxiliary switch is disposed on the lift lever at a position where the auxiliary switch and the lift lever are operable by the same operator's hand. The controller is adapted to control the tilting and lifting mechanisms based on signals from the tilting and lifting operation detectors and the auxiliary switch. When the auxiliary switch is in operative position and the lifting operation detector detects that the lift lever is in operative position, the controller controls the tilting mechanism so as to tilt the fork to have a predetermined tilt angle based on a signal from the tilt angle detector.

Forklift truck

A forklift truck includes a truck body, a fork, a mast, tilting and lifting mechanisms, tilt and lift levers, tilting and lifting operation detectors, a lifted height detector, a load detector, an auxiliary switch, a tilt angle detector and a controller. The controller controls the lifting and tilting mechanisms based on signals from the tilting and lifting operation detectors and the auxiliary switch. The controller controls the lifting and tilting mechanisms to cause the fork to be lifted and tilted to horizontal position of the fork if a load is present on the fork, the fork is in a lower lift region where the lifted height of the fork is at or lower than a first threshold value, the lift lever is placed in operative position to lift the fork, the auxiliary switch is in operative position and the fork is not in the horizontal position of the fork.

A driving force transmission unit consists of a gear unit engaging with the motor axes of two AC motors, and a bevel gear for transmitting the driving forces of the two AC motors to an axle. Wheels are installed on both ends of the axle. The output voltage of a battery of low voltage is transformed to AC voltage by a DC/AC transformer, and the transformed voltage is supplied to the two AC motors. Then, the driving forces of the two AC motors are synthesized to be transmitted to the axle.

A three-wheel fork-lift truck having one rear steering wheel to be turned by a compact steering assembly of simple construction providing sufficient space for accommodating various kinds of attachments. The steering assembly is composed of a pinion provided with the rear steering wheel, a rack engaged with the pinion, and a hydraulic cylinder as an actuator for moving the rack in the axial direction. By moving the rack in lateral direction either to the right or left, the pinion is rotated to turn the rear steering wheel via a steering shaft.
